Whoops...*Alan
I qued up CBGB’s on netflix the other night and when Hilly Kristal first shows up on screen I said to myself: “Hans Boobie I’m your WHite Knight!
RIP Alan.
Great “bad guy”. RIP.
Not much of a movie, but that bit was well-cast. In fact, I heard him voicing Marvin as I was reading the book (well before the movie came out....).
Rather like Sean Connery as Ramius in "Hunt for Red October". Watched it and said, "Yep, that's how I pictured the book."
“Call off Christmas!!” That still makes me laugh. He did a good job playing such an evil snake.

One of my favorite actors. I loved him in Galaxy Quest, Blow Dry, Something the Lord Made, CBGB and Snow Cake. Especially his characters that exhibited a resigned or world-weary cynicism or acceptance of life as it imperfectly is. May he rest in peace and may his loved ones have some serenity in this trying time for them.
“One of his best, and least known roles.
The disdain on his face as he goes to find the Napa wines for his future contest was perfect”
“Bottle Shock” Saw this movie a couple times, seemed of lesser production quality, but enjoyable enough.
Bahaha! Thanks for sharing that
No worries. Joe Biden will cure it in 12 months.
I thought it rivaled his role as Sheriff of Nottingham.
Played one heckuva villain, a talent few actors have. And few could pull off the effete snob as well as he.
Someone gave Obama the “That’s it then. Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans, no more merciful beheadings, and call off Christmas”, caption, yet it didn’t work.
Rickman could do it with flair and passion and good acting. If Obama did it, it would be with his usual dour, spiteful manner.
Very sad news. May he rest in peace.
Don’t forget his role as a key Angel in Dogma.
My favorite of his various roles - the wannabe Australian gunslinger. Although he always seemed to play a villain, he did it very well and I actually liked the guy.
Rickman and Bowie in the same week? 2016 can officially suck it.
Some great Rickman impersonation starting about 20 seconds in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc3OyvbJkj4
...”and members of the Asian Dawn”...( I read about them in Time Magazine).
RIP Hans....they don't look for you if they think your dead.
