I can’t believe this! My students are watching Sense & Sensibility RIGHT NOW. I mean, yesterday and today, in class, we’ve been reading parts of the book and watching the movie in class and ... first my favorite author, Florence King, over the weekend. Then David Bowie. Now this. Completely unexpected.
WTH is going in with all the “that guy” types dying off in droves?
RIP, Mr. Rickman.
Notice the “Mr.”, Seamus?
The disdain on his face as he goes to find the Napa wines for his future contest was perfect.
Yes he was very good in Sense and Sensibility and of course the Harry Potter movies. After reading the posts here, I will watch Galaxy Quest. I thought he was miscast in Robin Hood.
Bummer. RIP Mr. Rickman
It’s amazing we now have hoax hoaxes. This has been all over the mainstream and everywhere else.
Indeed, prayers for his family.

(also “bring a friend” at the end).
Just wonderful.
RIP Mr. Rickman. “Blow Dry” was one of my favorites.
The BBC is pretty reliable, especially when it concerns a British celebrity.
Actors like that — I wish they could live for 500+ years.
Same age as David Bowie...
RIP, Adam Rickman
I was thinking of the scene when he dropped trou to show that angels didn’t have genitals. Of course I liked Linda Farentino better.
ROP, one great bad guy.
Loved that P7-M13 pistol he had in Die Hard
By Grapthar’s hammer...
He also had a great stage career. I first saw him in the early 80s at Stratford in small Shakespearean roles. I knew he was going to be a star. I recommend The Barchester Chronicles for his star-making tv performance as the nasty but hilarious Mr. Slope (nee Slop). It’s available on Amazon.
My wife’s favorite actor. After her favorite musician Bowie died. Aged 69 too.
Think I’ll send an email this time telling here.
