I think we should start a pool on how many days they will be able to keep him in prison. I say it will be less that 6 months.
He’s a Mafia boss kind of guy - they were popular in their neighborhoods because they kept the nabes safe and occasionally shared out the proceeds in a local way.
I worked with somebody from a mafia area on Staten Island who was finally asked by somebody else in the office, “ Gina, is there anything legal in your house?”
Everything fell off a truck and she’d come in to offer a bit of it to the rest of us. When she went to get married, her fiancé, who worked for an autobody shop (i.e. Chop shop, for cutting up stolen cars) couldn’t get the dresser drawer open because it was so full of cash. They got only cash payments for everything, of course, and didn’t put it on the bank. So while they didn’t go out and steal the cars or the freight or whatever it was, they benefited. People end up being part of a corrupt local economical and social system, and unless you have a good, strong legal government, that’s what’s going to happen.
Also, there are places in Mexico, dominated by the left, particularly the teachers’ union, where people pay their taxes faithfully, the town is fairly prosperous - and there’s still no potable water. The gangs haven’t helped with this, particularly since many of them are tied to the left and to the Marxist labor unions. And they are tied in with the local drinking water companies that go around in trucks and fill up the rooftop tanks.
But no challenger has arisen and you can’t blame people for being scared.
His guards should all be relatives of Sinaloa murder victims. I am sure they would be gentle and kind.
Anyway, he should be forcibly interrogated tp extract every single detail of his operation. By any means necessary.
“Plata o Plomo”
Si!!
All the Federales say
they could have had him any day.
Only let him slip away
out of kindness, I suppose.
Mission accomplished
Destined to not end well.
Incidentally, El Chapo is something of a folk hero throughout Mexico. People who idolize drug lords and gangsters - just the sort of culture we need to import more of!
They idolize drug dealers and gangsters in the US, too...what do you think rap is all about?
That said, everybody should see the picture of pudgy little El Chapo being arrested in his sweaty wife-beater.
Someone already probably slipped him a spoon to begin digging a tunnel.
a bit off topic, the mexicans in TN I see look totally opposit of this guy mexicos pres. He must have european spanish heritage
A case for capital punishment if there ever was one
Mission accomplished?
No amigo, mission accomplished when ya pay for the wall.
That about sums it up; if he were Italian I would say they need to train his staff to use a razor blade to thinky slice the garlic paper thin before adding it to the spaghetti sauce (”Wise Guys” reference).
Yup, some thugs simply deserve the worst!
it used to be SOP to swing the Bandito. We need to get back to that
True, you can't blame people for being scared.
I despise thugs that corrupt the system and run protection rackets... only thing worse are blackmailers :-(
I say hang 'em!
The problem with Mexico isn’t the lack of a death penalty so much as it is a national corruption that has filtered into every aspect of public service; it makes the US democratic party seem like convent nuns by comparison.
Thank the Catholic church. They abhor the death penalty.
Not that I need to defend Mexico, but our (USA)crime /drug problems are nothing to be proud of.
