Leon Panetta made official his endorsement of Hillary Clinton for president on Thursday, remarking upon her experience and credentials to tackle global issues while dismissing worsening conditions around the globe that critics have attributed to her time at the State Department.
"I’ve endorsed Hillary Clinton, and I've also helped provide advice on defense and foreign policy issues," said Panetta, who served as both director of the Central Intelligence Agency and as defense secretary in the Obama administration, in an interview with MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports."
"I think that what this country needs at a very dangerous time is responsible leadership in the real world," Panetta continued. "Not in a fantasy world, but in the real world, and she is somebody who has that experience, and for that reason, that's why I support her."
He also took a shot at the Republican currently leading the polls.
Asked whether Donald Trump was justified in raising the issue of Bill Clinton's past sexual misconduct in light of his wife's campaign claiming he is sexist, Panetta remarked that he thought the American people would rather hear more substance.
“I’d like to hear from Donald Trump a little bit of the substance of what the hell he’s talking about," he said.

The Clintons have LOTS of dirt on Panetta, and could turn him into pancetta if he crossed them.
And I care why?
Hmm....Was I holding my breath in dreadful anticipation of Panetta’s
endorsement? I can’t quite recall. I must have been worried about it at one time.
The one with dirt on Panetta is probably Panetta himself. Nixon started him on his career at HEW (HHS); another failure by Nixon. Mrs. Bill tried to impeach Nixon, but he bailed out when the Republicans caved.

Of course, the Clintons have dirt on everyone. I find it laughable the Panetta calls for “responsible leadership” in this dangerous global turmoil. She presided over some of the most disastrous policies in recent times and caused the situation.
The guy at the local mini mart I buy my beer from gives me great references. The more expensive my beer tastes become, the more glowing the praise.
Dirty rats laying down with dirty snakes is not a surprise.
“First of all, Panetta may be taken seriously by the mainstream media, but he was never taken seriously by the senior bureaucrats and officers at the CIA and the Pentagon. Panetta was referred to by the senior operational officers as “Uncle Leon” because of his indolent working habits and his lack of experience in both operational and intelligence matters. The fact that Panetta brought his dog to work on a daily basis was a subject of derision, although not a serious matter. The fact that he flew home to California virtually every weekend was a serious matter. By the way, the dog went to work in the Pentagon, and the regular flights at taxpayer expense continued there as well.”
I think Leon was right in the inner Benghazi circle at the Whitehouse.

That’s assuming that she doesn’t stroke out before the primaries.
Last time I saw here, she looked like she was in pretty rough shape physically. Looked like somebody propped up mao’s corpse in a snappy pantsuit.
