I was listening to Mark Steyn filling in for Rush Limbaugh when he mentioned that Erick Erickson would be the fillin host tomorrow. Erickson is the guy who disinvited Donald Trump from the Red State Gathering and invited Megyn Kelly to speak in his place. Rumor had it that he was prodded by Fox News contributor Kirsten Powers, who ironically wrote a book on how the left's intolerance towards opposing views is shutting down debate.
Namaste in bed today.
Those are our young men in Texas, destroyed by video games
and Facebook. Yep, screwed. We all kinds of screwed. Yep.
Erickson has the right to dislike Trump. However, he made false accusations against Trump, and found Rubio (who is not a natural born citizen and supports amnesty) and Bush acceptable.
Erickson is the late afternoon host at WSB in Atlanta, which became Rush’s affiliate in that city less than two years ago. WSB is a powerhouse and it helps Rush achieve tremendous ratings in the city. After losing some key affiliates in other cities (KFI in Los Angeles, for one), Rush wants to hang on to stations that are dominant in their markets.
By inviting Erickson, Rush is throwing a bone to WSB and its owner, Cox Communications. Cox also owns Rush affiliates in places like Jacksonville and Dayton that also have strong ratings.
It just kills the Trump cultists that Rush isn’t behind their boy one hundred percent. Did it ever occur to you the only reason he hasn’t attacked Trump head on is because of a personal relationship he has with him? He obviously favors Cruz.
If you folks keep throwing people out of the boat you’ll find it a lonely place.
I love Rush and I’m fine with it. He probably wants to help out Erickson. I’ll see what he has to say.
Trump 2016.
I actually liked his show better when he came on after Hannity. There were fewer interruptions and he did a better job of making his points. The "promotion" to afternoon host means he has to keep stopping every couple of minutes to let them break in with traffic reports. So it wasn't a very enjoyable show even before I stopped listening. That said, Herman Cain is also a WSB host who could do quite nicely if Rush needed to throw them a bone.
It's obvious from many threads that the definition of a RINO is in the eye of the beholder. You can name your RINOs, and I'll name mine.
you are truely an idiot
Lack of capitalization on the front, failure to punctuate at the end and a misspelling in the middle.
Yep, there's an idiot here alright.
That’s a quite a trip in the Way-Back Machine to remember when Matthews guest-hosted. My poor memory says it was way back in the 90s.
I emailed rush after EE effed up that I would never listen to one of his shows with EE again. Time to let rush know.
No one but you cares. Fillin fillin fillin fillin!
Kin I git long-distance phone hep from them air Texas cowboys about my stray calfs er do they only colloquially?
I agree. I’m surprised Rush would have kept Erickson on his fill-in list. Maybe Erickson was off the list and nobody—not even a talker in a market of 500 people—could be found. I won’t be tuning in.
By inviting Erickson, Rush is throwing a bone to WSB and its owner, Cox Communications. Cox also owns Rush affiliates in places like Jacksonville and Dayton that also have strong ratings.
Wow! Seems like Rush is willing to sell his values just like McConnell, Boehner, Ryan, and the other member of the GOPe.
And I'm very much NOT a RINO.....!
Who is Walter Washington?
Baloney........
