I remember this case well. I remember how upset we all were at GWB over this case. Little did I know at the time it was Cruz arguing the case to SCOTUS.

This is almost 2 months old but I just found it and could not find it posted.

It pains me to say this, but if “W” dislikes Cruz, that’s a point in Cruz’s favor.

Who listens to GWB? I don’t - be surprised if anyone with half a brain did.

I dislike GW Bush, both personally and as president. I dislike his wars and the nasty aftereffects, I dislike the crazy core curriculum, I dislike his attempted appointment of Harriet Myers to the Supreme Court, I dislike his taking off the weekend before the 2000 election which probably led to Florida and the loss of the popular vote. I dislike his cozying up to the Clintons while trashing conservatives. I dislike his near total inattentiveness to his job as President in the last couple of years he was in office.

Who cares what W thinks? He sits back for the last 7 years, while Bambi is destroying the country, not uttering a word about it, and we are supposed to give a rats rear end when he decides to bash the best candidate the GOP has? Go climb back under the rock Georgie.

Agree, but what I am really impressed is that Cruz successfully litigated this case with SCOTUS.

Yes. Another reason why I don’t care for GWB as a public figure.

I’ll give GWB credit for one thing. He really had that “aw shucks, good ol’ boy” routine down. This is where Jeb has provided a service to the nation. Through the lens of Jeb’s campaign, we clearly see the Bush dynasty for what they are. They’re a clan of self-centered know it all elitists who have done the US a whole lot of damage.

... which probably led to Florida and the loss of the popular vote.

Our formerly-free representative Republic was not designed as a direct democracy (popular vote, mob rules). To avoid the tyranny of "popular vote" democracy, the Founders established the electoral college.

I don’t either but he’s right this time. Beck is a clown show but even he can get one right every now and then.

Unlike the evil constitutional conservative Ted Cruz, GWB was just very concerned.

I can’t watch this now while I am at work. Is it about the Medellin decision?

I understand that; but the loss of the popular vote delegitimized his Administration in the minds of too many.

FACT.

The GW Bush "conservative" mask started slipping off around 2004. Jeb just went ahead and ripped it off the face of the whole family.

Overall, the Bush family has been bad for this nation. They’ve been bad for conservatives and they’ve hurt the republican party.
