slightly old article but I didn’t see it posted.
Who knows? Maybe it’s a resistant strain of the disease brought here by the illegals and/or “refugees.”
One of the consequences of the Kenyan’s “executive action” open borders policy.
Interesting that mandatory vaccinations where a hot topic for the last 3+ years.
Just the “dreamers” giving back to America.
That is indeed extremely troubling. One or two who’d had the shot but still got ill would be one thing, but ALL of them? That is not good. And I presume these are young, generally healthy people.
Diseases mutate, and it is quite possible we’ve had immigrants who carried a new strain evolved from the one the vaccinate works against into our population.
Generally only infants are vaccinated for pertussis. The vaccine only provides immunity for several years if there is no revaccination. So, people older than elementary age generally have no immunity to it unless they have been revaccinated, but revaccination of older children is not included in the standard vaccination schedule. People who actually get pertussis though are typically immune for 30+ years.
My internist follows the recommendation to have a tetanus revaccination (Td/Tdap - which includes the vaccine for whooping cough) every ten years. I hope that the whooping cough vaccine that is being given in the US hasn’t been “outraced” by mutating bacteria from overseas.
When a country does not secure its borders, the infected pour across. We’re headed toward becoming a third-world country.
The vaccinations also carry a risk of death.
Fundemental transformation alright!
Under Obama, we also share the world’s diseases.
Close the border.
I got whooping cough in mid October and am now at the tail end of it. The symptoms can go on for months.
From what I found out is anti- biotics will kill the bacteria (this is not a virus caused problem )
However killing the bacteria may not reduce the symptoms after the bacteria is gone either by antibiotics or leaves naturally.
Early on I had some coughs that when I tried to get air back into my lungs I made a sound that I never had heard in my entire life.
I know persons who have had it and did a job on their diaphragms with violent coughing- so far I have been lucky and it is abating the last week.
Probably I picked it up because recent other medication has lowered my immune system response. -Tom
If it is treatable with antibiotics as the article says, why risk siesures and death with a vaccination? I think the pharmaceutical industry is out of control.
