She said her son “didn’t have a gun. He had a bat.”
A plastic whiffle-ball bat?
Lord knows, an aluminum or wood bat can’t possibly used to kill anyone.
He had a bat.
Oh. Ok. So he can’t hurt anyone with a bat.
He a good boy. He always be a good boy.
“She said her son “didn’t have a gun. He had a bat.””
The bat had a trigger on it?
This article is pretty light on details. I guess “cops shoot sorta unarmed black guy” is all you need to know.
What did Bettie do to get shot? I’d sure hate to think it was an accident, an errant shot that just killed her, and that police won’t face any charges when that happens (like everyone else does).
First guess schizophrenia,
Second guess bad drugs.
Third guess, aspiring rapper.
The moral here seems to be that evil cops search out Black college students who are just minding their business and shoot them.
Her son is acting crazy-dangerous around 3:00 a.m. Christmas night, and she thinks the police are a free taxi? These people live in an alternate universe.
4:25 am is sure mighty early or late to be up studying, and why did he need a bat to study his engineering? It seems that some things have been left out of this article.

Interesting that I’ve been banned from making comments via a Discus account which includes my Facebook account.......
The mother wasn’t present at the time of the incident, but she somehow knows that the “police didn’t have to react the way they did”?
Where, or how, in God’s name, do these parents get the names they tack on these poor unfortunate losers?
Quintonio?
Are the Chicago cops wearing body cameras?
Quintonio Legrier, a 19-year-old college student, was pronounced dead at a hospital at 4:51 a.m. and Bettie Jones, a 55-year-old mother of five who was Legrier’s neighbor, died at a different hospital at 5:14 a.m. Both were black, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. So when did it start needing a medical examiner to tell if they were black ? The name alone should be a clue for the college student....
There have been many stories lately about parents calling 911 for help with a mentally ill family member. They think the police will restrain the mentally ill family member, but instead the police kill the person.
In this case, the woman living downstairs opened the door for police and was shot dead, too. What possible justification could there be for that?
