Bristol Palin, the daughter of 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has given birth to a second child.
Bristol Palin, who turned 25 in October and is a vocal advocate of sexual abstinence before marriage, tweeted Thursday that her "heart just doubled" at the birth of her new baby girl, Sailor Grace.
Palin announced she was pregnant in June, a few weeks after her engagement to Dakota Meyer , a 27-year-old U.S. Marine who received a 2009 Medal of Honor , was called off after a year-long relationship. Meyer tweeted a photo of the baby girl, too, writing: "Best Christmas present ever!! I couldn't be more proud of this little blessing."
Palin's first pregnancy came when she was 17 in 2008 during Sarah Palin's vice presidential campaign. Tripp, who turns seven this weekend, is the son of Bristol'' previous ex-fiance, Levi Johnson, 25, whom she was with from 2005-10.

Unlike the first time? She wasn’t engaged then.
I know that sounds harsh but come on. She was idolized here and in the conservative world because she was the daughter of a respected politician. She then became a reality tv celebrity. Then, she got pregnant again! while not married.
I’m fine with it but I’m fine with anyone who gets pregnant while unmarried as long as I’m not paying for them for life.
Are you?
We have an entire culture that believes it’s just fine to have a 70% unmarried birth rate. Are they any different than Bristol?
I agree with all you said. I have a feeling that if confronted by the One Who sees the heart, the stone throwers here would drops their rocks and split.
Your God only forgives once? What an unloving God.
Paul calls it a race. And it is. No matter how many times you falter and fall, you pick yourself up and enter the race again.
It's people like you that discourage striving because you are too busy condemning. Those who have stumbled are discouraged by people like you but God extends grace and forgiveness until a persons last breath.
Bristol was never a spokesperson for abstinence.
You are misinformed or intentionally lying.
This is what Candies had to say recently.
“In 2011, when she was just 19, Bristol Palin was enormously helpful to The Candie’s Foundation in our mission to educate teenagers about the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy,â
So stop with your Lies.
That goes for the rest of you who keep spewing this lie.
LMAO ok then. Are you calling me a liar?
This could be fun.
Bristol Palin later became a paid spokeswoman advocating abstinence and warning against teenage pregnancies. She also performed on “Dancing with the Stars” and had a short-lived cable TV show called “Life’s a Tripp.”

http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/bristol-palin-paid-abstinence-speeches/
In 2009, she told Good Morning America, âregardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only ⦠100 percent foolproof way to prevent pregnancy,â and promised a magazine in that year, âIâm not going to have sex until Iâm married: I can guarantee it.â
And when Palin made an appearance with the head of the Candieâs Foundation on Greta Van Susterenâs On The Record in 2010, Van Susteren introduced her by saying, ââBristol is promoting abstinence for the Candieâs Foundation.â
Thus, while Palin splits hairs and insists she is not a hypocrite for getting pregnant before marriage yet again, she admitted in the blog post that she knew she was going to beâcompletely crucifiedâ for not practicing what she has preached, loudly, for years.
Palin said now, sheâs in her mid-twenties, with a steady job, a house, and years of parenting experience with her son Tripp, 6.
âI am pregnant,â she wrote. âThis is not the ideal situation, but life is important even if itâs not in the most absolute ideal circumstance.â
Meanwhile, the Candieâs Foundation voiced their support for the unwed mother, and said in a post on social media, âIn 2011, when she was just 19, Bristol Palin was enormously helpful to The Candieâs Foundation in our mission to educate teenagers about the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy.
âHer courage, while still a teen herself, to admit her mistakes so publicly in an effort to help others was remarkably brave. Today, at 24, we can only offer our support to Bristol and her family and respect her request for privacy.â
âRegardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only ⦠100 percent foolproof way to prevent pregnancy,â Bristol Palin told ABC News program âGood Morning Americaâ in 2009 â a belief that has obviously worked out well for her.
Despite her work in promoting abstinence â for which she is paid â as well as her statements over the years promoting abstinence, Palin says she is absolutely NOT a paid abstinence spokesperson. In an angry blog post, Palin attempted to rewrite her own history.
âSo here are the things you should all get straight before you continue to mock me, judge me, and talk about me,â Palin wrote. âNone of us are perfect.â
âI made a mistake, but itâs not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume,â Sarah Palinâs possibly more stupid daughter complained. âThis pregnancy was actually planned.â
Yes, thatâs right â the pregnancy, out-of-wedlock and in the face of all of her professed beliefs as a âChristian,â was planned. âEveryone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself,â she added. âThings didnât go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on.â
Though she clearly indicated that her new baby is a disappointment, Palin said:
But I do not regret this baby. This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!
Oh, and another thing, you âgiddy a$$holes!â She was never, not once, even when she was, a paid âabstinence spokespersonâ:
Letâs get another thing straight, because I canât tolerate all the talk on this subject. I have never been paid as an âabstinence spokesperson.â I was employed by the great people at The Candies Foundation.
From their site:
The Candieâs Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to shape the way the youth in America think about the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy and parenthood. We are an operating foundation that develops and runs communication campaigns to raise awareness about our cause. Each year millions of teens are exposed to The Foundationâs message, which encourages them to delay pregnancy and shows the realities of teen parenthood. Our approach is unique: all of our ads feature celebrities that teens can relate to and speaks to them directly using their own language. We go beyond raising awareness; our goal is to influence teen culture.
In other words, they are a teen pregnancy prevention non-profit and I worked for them when I was 18 and 19 â when I could share first hand the challenges of being a teen mother.
âI am pregnant. This is not the ideal situation, but life is important even if itâs not in the most absolute ideal circumstance. This is more confirmation on what Iâve always stood for. Iâve always been pro-life and I am standing for life now,â Palin said at the end of her rant. âDeal with it.â
In 2009, after giving birth to her son Tripp, Palin pledged to renew her commitment to remain abstinent until marriage â a vow she faithfully kept until she felt like having sex. âIâm not going to have sex until Iâm married,â Bristol told In Touch magazine at the time. âI can guarantee it.â
âItâs a realistic goal for myself,â Palin told Oprah in a 2010 interview when asked about her abstinence pledge.
Perhaps this new child was planned. After all, she wanted to have more kids someday, right? Technically, she did want to have another child in her future.
â¦Thatâs a plan, right? Letâs give her that one.
But come on â she was never a paid abstinence spokesperson? Youâd have to be pretty stupid to buy that one â which means conservatives will be eating it right up.”
Maybe Bristol didn’t want to be known for being an abstinence spokesperson but she was and she was paid for it.
Posters here lauded her take on no sex before marriage even though she was a teen mom. They lauded her on her coping with raising a child without being married to the dad. And yet again they are glossing over the fact that she’s had another child by a different father and unmarried. They were ok with her stints on various reality tv shows.
This is a problem with holding any human up as role model especially a teen (and now 25 yr old) just because she’s the kid of some politician we like.
What I think of her: She was a teen girl who made a mistake as many do and had a baby with a boy who wasn’t ready to be a dad or husband. It’s been happening since the beginning of time. Then she became a reality tv personality and craved fame and all the attention that came with it and became a spokesperson that “conservatives” looked up to for some reason. She then had another child by a different father and still isn’t married.
Tell me again why I’m supposed to think she’s any different from any other reality tv personality, such as any of the Kardashians?
Tell me again where I lied.
Well, let's see.....One mentions Jesus and says they've made mistakes and the others are famous for sex video's and twisted family members that aren't sure what sex they are.
I thought a FReeper would know the difference.
KMA
You can take your condescending, uniformed crap and kma.
Bristol is a reality tv celebrity who was teen mom and now birthed another child by another father. Two kids by two different dads and still not married. Yeah, that screams conservative, Christian.
The sleezy Kardashians also claim to know Jesus and live without judging others.
Your point? Other than to try to slam me for posting the obvious.
Bristol, as any person with info knows, was engaged to both father's but called off both weddings. She knew that making another mistake certainly didn't solve the first one. That takes courage.
As I told someone else, Paul calls it a race. And it is. No matter how many times you falter and fall, you pick yourself up and enter the race again.
It's people like you that discourage striving because you are too busy condemning. Those who have stumbled are discouraged by people like you but God extends grace and forgiveness until a persons last breath.
Apparently you know much more about the Kardashians than I do. Isn't that interesting.............
I get it. I do. She was the daughter of a thought to be star of the conservative movement (who hasn’t been relevant since 2012).
Supporters tried to twist themselves into knots to accept the kid of their hero having a teen pregnancy, called off wedding, etc. I remember posters here, you even, claiming Levi was oh so handsome and a hard worker and they made such a wonderful couple...blah blah blah. Then they broke up. And he was scum. Then they were back together, and he was great again. Then they broke up again and he was scum. Her oldest son also had a child and is not with the mom. Just like millions of others. Why are they special again?
Bristol became a reality tv celebrity and you thought it was great. Sure make your life open to the world. She was on Dancing with the Stars..she had her own reality tv show (just like the Kardashians). But then deal with the backlash of that notoriety. She was a spokesperson for Candies Foundation and she claimed, she claimed! to not have sex again until she was married because she saw what premarital sex does...and now she’s 25 years old, not married, with a child by another father.
Tell me again why she’s better than the Kardashians...Kim has two kids by her husband, father of the two kids. Kourtney has 3 kids with the same father. Bristol, two kids by two different fathers, not married to either.
So what Bristol says and what she does are different and we should be ok with that and still think she’s holding to some standard we put on her?
Yeah. No.
She would have been irrelevant if not for the thousands of so called conservatives who continue to make her relevant even though she doesn’t adhere to anything we espouse.
And here I thought a Freeper would know the difference.
Actually, you don't.
Have a good night.
LMAO honey you didn’t hit any nerve. Stop projecting. You ain’t that important.
I wasn’t nasty either. What?
Yes, a child of 17 was engaged. It didn’t work out. A woman of 25 was engaged, it didn’t work out. Ok.
She knew making the mistake of marriage or making the mistake of pregnancy before marriage? I’m confused. Was getting pregnant before marriage the mistake or getting engaged a mistake? Or getting married a mistake both times?
LOL there you go projecting again. You know all about the Kardashians just like you know all about Bristol and her pregnancies before marriage and cancelled engagements and no weddings.
Yes, a 17 yr old was “engaged” but no marriage and a 25 yr old was engaged and no marriage...yet, two kids with two different dads...yeah a paragon of conservativism.
This is fun. Keep going.
Sorry you couldn’t support your “Bristol Palin is the best thing ever and different from any other celebrity who has screwed up” meme.
White trash
In my opinion, Bristol has no control of her actions - she does what feels good in all things - I would bet she overeats, overdrinks, does not get enough sleep, and she has a trash mouth as has been quoted in an above post lashing out at the public. If she were my kid, she would be in therapy. There is no way she is a good mother at this point in her life as the traits she is exhibiting will spill over into the children and be instilled in them.
Hmmmm... I find your response to Shadowstrike filled with nastiness. Have you looked in a mirror lately?
There are many people on this thread who are getting flak because they refuse to wink at sin — especially a specific trend of sinning. Remember, it was sin that sent the Savior to the cross. And, yes, He paid for it all and we do serve a loving and forgiving God, but His sacrifice was complete in that it paid for deliverance from sin as well. This means that we don’t have to serve sin as we did in the days before salvation.
Bristol has a problem. A very public problem. God is certainly able and willing to forgive her and the baby’s father, but His forgiveness doesn’t give them license to continue in that sin for the world to observe. I’m not a big follower of the Palins, so I wouldn’t know if either of them or the family as a whole went before the public in a church service or some similar setting and repented, explaining why the behavior is sinful. The whole family gives an air of “well, this is just business as usual,” without any apparent thought to what kind of message it sends to those who are considering Christianity. Does Christianity have loopholes? Can Christians live like the rest of society and never pay a price for it? Is it really necessary for me to live a chaste life if I’m a Christian? Does God really mean that Christians are supposed to be separate from the ways of the world or is it acceptable for them to blend in without detection?
I wish good health and happiness for all the Palins, not the least of which is the new little baby who has just been delivered. I hope the Palins get their spiritual house in order so that she can be reared in a Godly manner. I would like to see less of them as they step out of the public eye for as long as it takes to address their dysfunction as a family. And I would be thrilled for them to step back into the public eye with their spiritual foundation renewed and intact. Then and only then do they deserve the respect that so many tend to want to give them because of the Palin name. It’s the Jesus Name that commands respect, and I would like to see them, as public figures, represent it well. All Christians win when that happens.
DJ MacWoW, almost thou persuadeth me to be a Christian, but when I see all the inconsistencies, I think not.
See post #136.
Whaaat?? Bristol’s not a victim here. Bristol is an adult who was raised in a supposedly Christian home. There’s no way we can know how strong a foundation her parents laid down for their family in terms of God’s Word, but for Bristol it apparently didn’t take root.
She (and I would suggest the whole family) needs to get on her knees before God and earnestly repent and submit her life to Him completely. She has messed up royally, but it’s nothing that He can’t turn around if she’ll just acknowledge her sin and seek Him earnestly.
No, no, no...she is not white trash! It’s only ethnic minorities who can be called trash when they have multiple babies out of wedlock with multiple fathers. That’s clear from most other threads on the subject. When those circumstances describe someone from a white, conservative, Christian family, however, she is a heroic example of grace and forgiveness. If you think otherwise, and DARE speak your mind on this forum, you are mean and nasty...and a liar!!
And no, there is NO double standard here./s
Hmmmm... I find your response to Shadowstrike filled with nastiness. Have you looked in a mirror lately?
********************************************************************************
I’m sorry you find my “response” to be “filled with nastiness”. I last looked in the mirror when I was shaving for Church this morning—and I saw a sinner (just as I have always seen a sinner).
This will be my last post in this thread so I’ll let the “judges” have the last word. I’ve come around to believing that the nastiness I’ve seen in this thread is not from the “casting of the first stone”, but rather, more likely IMHO, a reflection of the posters’ envy and jealousy. And I’ll leave it at that.
