The Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur had what was purportedly Janis Joplin’s original psychedelic Porche, when I visited there several years ago. And IIRC it didn’t look like any of these LOL! So there must have been multiple Porches or at least paint jobs!

While there, I bought a giant woven cloth tapestry showing Janis sitting on the hood (of the same Porche that was on display in the Museum) posed similar to posts 13 and 21, but I’m pretty sure she was dressed differently, too. I still have the tapestry, in a trunk or box in my attic. Not gonna dig it out.

The Museum had some other cool stuff, including Big Bopper’s sheet music for Chantilly Lace.
