Meanwhile...

Earth heading for 'mini ice age' in just 15 years, scientists say
UPI ^ | Updated July 11, 2015 | Doug G. Ware

Solar scientists predict that the Earth will enter a "mini ice age" around 2030 due to decreased activity by the sun, which will bring with it frigid cold winters. The last time the Earth experienced a similar situation occurred between 1645 and 1715.

But I thought sea levels were rising now, and all the ice was melting, drowning the polar bears and causing Syrians to flood into Europe.

[[carbon dioxide warming]]

Yes folks, because 0.0036% of our atmosphere is too dangerous to ignore- we MUST get that number down to 0.0035% or we’re all doomed DOOMED I saY!

Yep- that is the % of atmosphere with CO2 in it produced by man- a whopping 0.0036% of the atmosphere

Can some please explain how 0.0036% of our atmosphere can possibly capture enough heat and back radiate it to earth to cause climate change globally?

Can someone also explain how CO2 can possibly be responsible for climate change when it is a fact that temperatures ALWAYS rise first, and CO2 rises 800 years later?

And can someone please explain how CO2 can be the cause of climate change when the FACT is that CO2 amount has been steadily rising for 20 years but temperatures have remained flat for those 20 years?

When people who can’t predict the weather 2 days in advance try to sell global warming, their credibility is nil.

That is exactly the reason those swindlers are counting on. Long after the huge sum of money they got ‘disappear’.

Do taxpayers ever get an actual accounting of how the two Obama Stash was/were spent? I don’t think so.

Huge amount of $$$$ just unaccounted for. But somebody (bodies) quietly got super super rich.

I was a little (pleasantly) surprised to see this article published by SciAm.

Anthropogenic global warming is simply nonsense. Climate change is always occurring. Next up ice age if planetary history is any indicator. And soon. Asteroid or comet strikes can skew events. That is all.

So we do not need to rush into subsidizing inefficient and land-hungry technologies, such as wind and solar or risk depriving poor people access to the beneficial effects of cheap electricity via fossil fuels.

Too late.......

Climate change is inevitable and has been for millions of years...Wisconsin was covered by a glacier at one time and have the beautiful moraines to show for it. For humans to think that they can control or even influence the climate of a planet is arrogant at best. Lake Superior stayed frozen over this year more than any other in history. Carbon dioxide harms nothing, water vapor is far more harmful but we are seeking to eliminate our carbon footprint.

I lived in Milwaukee when I was a child (1940's) and in the winter, you could SEE the air....most people heated their homes, and everything else, with coal....the coal guy would come, carry buckets of coal to the side of your house, and dump it down a chute through your basement window. You would then, everyday, shovel it into the furnace where it would provide your heat....

Whenever the environmental freaks show up it is all about solar or wind....neither are practical solutions for any long term solutions. They never, however, mention nuclear, which is clean, non polluting and fairly inexpensive.
