One scenario is that Cruz and Rubio split the remaining vote and Trump still wins.
Cruz has exactly the right approach to Trump. Obey Reagan’s 11th Commandment and concentrate on running against Hillary.
Either Trump will self destruct or he will be our next President.

The GOPe is on a path to self destruct, and I love it.
If they Do Something, they will self-destruct FASTER, because the Republican electorate is in the mood to screw them. For them to do anything obvious is to risk the deserved backlash of their grass roots.
If they Do Nothing, they will self-destruct SLOWER because either Trump will win, or the consolidation will be around CRUZ, another disestablishmentarian!
Their only path to victory is named Rubio, and he’s toxic with Amnesty and can’t win.

Rubio is the only one Cruz had to finish. The rest did it to themselves. That will be over momentarily, and the two good candidates can sharpen their programs to present for our consideration.

I actually thought Ted Cruz would have pushed Rubio in the pool by now. The GOPe is going to back Rubio to the hilt now that Jebbie is on life support. He’s going to be hard to get rid of like gum on the bottom of your shoe. Meanwhile Trump is almost in the end zone. At this late date who’s going to stop him?
