“How the GOP Can Stop Donald Trump: Do Nothing”
That should be a slam dunk. They’ve done nothing for years.
Whistling past the graveyard.
CC
That they are, as are some who post here.
They can’t help themselves. It is a part of their identity to try to smear anyone they didn’t choose.
So they think that if they can get a head to head, the other candidate will get the whole 70%, like those poor fools would just pick the loser.
“Do Nothing.”
Good plan. For if anyone can stop the Donald; it will be he himself.
I thought Trump would step in it months ago and effectively end his run. So far, I’ve been wrong. But pleasantly wrong.
They care more for themselves, than for this nation.
Doing nothing is what the gop does best. Closely followed by backstabbing, treachery, obfuscation, and “reaching across the aisle.”
Well, they may be on to something here. Look how well the strategy of no strategy worked for Obama in stopping ISIS.
>>It’s the strategy of no strategy. It moves right to acceptance, saying that there just isn’t anything that can be done about Trump. Maybe he does have a ceiling of 30 percent or so of the party (around where he is now in the polls), and if that’s true, what Republicans need is an alternative. One alternative, not 12. Someone who can begin to consolidate that other 70 percent around him.
But if you mention Cruz as that one alternative, the same GOP establishment starts squawking, “Noooo. You aren’t listening to us! We mean an alternative that we approve of.”
I doubt that ever the anti-Trumpsters would vote for jebbie, or anyone else of "their" choice!
Right you are !
Lol!!!
I was wrong, too. I dismissed him in a crude fashion. Happy to be so wrong.
I disagree. Trump is too good with the media to be stopped by an enemy that sits in place. Dumb tactic.
I support Trump, but Trump is a battlefield general. Anyone who wants to defeat him must do it on the battlefield. They just haven’t found the right attack yet.
Same as with Robert E. Lee. If they’d sat still with him (as McClellan virtually did), then the next thing you know, he’d have been taking Washington, D.C.
It took them 3 years to figure out Lee’s vulnerability. I expect it will take as long with Trump.
Silly me, I thought this was a Country and Government of the People, not the GOP, Dem, media etc.....
They’re still clinging to the notion that Trump can’t get beyond 30 percent, yet they think that someone like Bush with 7 percent and win over another 63 percent, or Rubio with 12 percent can win over another 58 percent.
That’s rather delusional if you ask me.
Why do they automatically assume that Trump has a ceiling that he cannot move beyond, and it’s the sky’s the limit for everyone else.
Just because Trump hovers in the 30-35 percent range, in no way implies that he can’t go beyond that. If he wins in IA, NH and SC, the sky is the limit for him. The truth is, people like a winner, and if he starts winning, there will be no stopping him, and 99 percent of the gop will go his way, leaving the gope in the dust.
