Terrified neighbours phoned the police after hearing a woman screaming hysterically and a man yelling: “I’m going to kill you”.

But when officers arrived at the address they discovered the flat's sole occupant had been trying to catch a SPIDER .

The shamefaced man admitted he had been shouting death threats at the arachnid and had been the person behind the high pitched screaming.

According to New South Wales police in Australia, they received multiple calls about the sound of crashing furniture and a man screaming: “I’m going to kill you, you're dead! Die Die!!”.

Couldn't find my black widow spider pic, but here's a cute white spider that was on a sunflower in the back yard.

We used to have a lot of spiders mostly on the outside of the house. Then a lot of lizards moved in and took care of them for me. I hardly ever seen a spider now.

Two of my Jack Russels used to hunt the lizards until one of my Jacks went blind. The sighted Jack gave up lizard hunting. We have dozens of lizards now.
Do you have Brown Recluse spiders there? They are bad guys,!

There is a place in Sierra Vista Az called the Landmark Cafe.
Really good breakfast but the place is like a scary clown museum.

I have seen people go white in there.

Oh well, more hashbrowns for me...

Seriously a lot of people have that clown phobia

Australia famously has some of the largest and most venomous arachnids on the planet. But as far as I know they don’t respond to raving and screaming threats any more than their American cousins. A rolled up newspaper, spray can of RAID, or boot heel, on the other hand ...

Hmmm.

I may have to rethink my dislike of clowns, now.

Oddly enough, I once had two het-for-Clown Beeps.

Gave them to a snake breeder friend.

Now I have to ring him up to ask if they ever produced Clowns for him.

Last I heard, he’d put a Pastel/het Clown male to the girls.

Very!

You'll no doubt laugh, but years ago I had a huge, female black jumping spider that lived on my kitchen windowsill.

Sometimes, I'd swat a fly and give it her.
She became quite “tame”.

She'd sit with me, amiably, while I did dishes and no one was better at catching the flying things that stray in, now and again.

A week went by and I did not see her and got concerned.

Then, I happened to look down in the small scrap trash can by the sink, and there she was, *gone*.

I cried.

A couple days later, she was back in the window, happy as ever.

What I'd found in the trashcan was just her *moult*.

;D

She finally disappeared for good, a few years back.
No idea how long they live but she was around for about 3 years.

She did leave behind a couple little ‘uns, just like her, though.

Even I still get "spooked" by spiders, once in a while.

This fall brought the usual wolf spiders inside and one of them, I swear, was "social".

It kept coming up on the sofa and sitting near me or would run wildly across my outstretched legs.

When one suddenly jumps on the back of your hand, you're gonna flinch. LOL

My mom is the same way but she’s allergic to bee stings.

I don’t know if I am or not as they don’t sting me.

Oddly, they tend to follow me around the yard, with no ill intent.

I’m certain that the Spider felt Microaggressed. What if it was a immigrant spider??? What about the spider’s feelings?

Frankly ,

If I had power at FR, any time someone mentioned a name, event, or place, they would have to give a brief description in brackets.

I’m getting exhausted opening up Wikipedia every time i’m on the board

And feeling dumb. :)

We have no Brown Recluse.

We’re supposed to have Black Widows but danged if I can find one.

I met a couple from WV at a bike week, locally and they swore they had lots of them at their house and said they’d catch me some.

So far, nothing.

They’re probably just seeing black house spiders and freaking out.

:-\

They also have more and deadlier venomous snakes than anywhere else in the world and they habitually just call in the snake catchers to relocate them.

Aussies are made of sterner stuff.
