It is starting to look like Peyton Manning may never step onto the field as a starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos again. Personally, I was on the fence with this line of thinking holding out hope Manning would somehow erase the last year and return to form. However, by moving to Brock Osweiler, it's becoming clear that coming back to Manning isn't likely.
An excellent insider piece on ESPN written by Mike Sando hammered this point home with several interviews from NFL executives and evaluators around the league, which paints a portrait of where John Elway's mindset is during this season.
Manning has been set up to succeed, not fail Pete Baron Five reasons Brock's Broncos are still top-five Kelly Fleming First, for the "win from now on" ethos Elway lives by, he has to commit to Osweiler now. Said one evaluator, "You have to commit to Osweiler. If you play him, you have to go with what he wants to do. Brock would have to really play bad for them to go back. He is a free agent at the end of the year. If he plays well enough, that could be an interesting situation. They can find out if he is a guy for the future. There is a lot going on there."

Manning not travelling to the game on Sunday. Will not even be a backup QB.
One of my favorite Football Teams and prayers up for Payton...GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY...AMEN....
Manning would be a great coach or actor though.

BRING BACK TIM TEBOW - Highlights of his playoff win in 2011:

The only reason he would ever start again is if they want him to be able to beat Brette Farve’s record, and that isn’t a good enough reason unless they are out of the playoffs and ending the season with nothing to play for. I can’t see it happening. He lasted a lot longer at Denver than I thought he would though.
I’m a huge Peyton fan but I truly hope he retires. It will prove he is as intelligent as I’ve always felt he was.
I hope he does well. I think he was worried about his old neck injury and I probably would do the same. But, he posed no QB run threat. If rushed he would fall down before he could be hit. Some sports writers called him the fainting goat. In the Green Bay game he looked great, but in most other games his performance was terrible. Some of the blame goes to receivers dropping easy catches. The interceptions were mainly his fault.
He is funny, isn’t he? (”do I really look like that?”)
Peyton is one of the best, and probably THE best, quarterback ever to play the game. Brilliant QB mind. If he doesn’t return, he will surely be missed by fans across the globe.
I was a huge Tim Tebow fan. He was not given much of a chance because the liberal sports media ridiculed him and the Broncos management, especially that elway D.B. had no spines. The other teams had no backbone either even though the fans loved him.
The Broncos would have made more money with Tebow and won just as many Super Bowls.
I will agree his running was not a thing of beauty, lol. Kinda looked like a gangly colt.
But I guess he came from a period of time when qbacks really didn’t run...nor were they wanted to. Not like the young qbacks of today.
True on the running. When he was on his game, his passing was a thing of beauty.
...if they want him to be able to beat Brette Farveâs record,

Uh... He beat Farve’s record last weekend. He only needed 2 or 3 yards, as he came up just short in the game before.
And a master of the two minute drill. Which is becoming a lost art.
Pretty sure Tebow would have had fewer interceptions against the Chiefs last week.
That was a record for passing yards. He is currently tied with Farvre for total wins.
“Never thought that I’d get cut...” :-)
