Well it looks like Trump is making a bid to take a chokehold over the headlines again. In an interview to be released later tonight, Erin Burnett says that Trump will compare Ben Carson's 'pathological disease' to that of a child molester's.
WOW. I guarantee you everyone will be talking about this when it comes out. He says that they're alike in that both conditions are incurable.
This hits at the very cornerstone of Ben Carson's campaign because so many support him based on his Christian convictions, which sprout from his story of being a violent youth and finding Christ. Trump has doubted his conversation story before, but this is the most rancorous denouncement yet. Will America buy it?
I agree. Only Trump would have the audacity to say it. If anybody can play it to his advantage, Trump can.

Exactly. This might be a headline to spark controversy and draw ratings to her show.

This is deeply disturbing. There are other candidates holding many of the same positions as Trump but who have rational programs to achieve those goals and who do not find it necessary to invent insults and disrespect for opponents.
This (if true) is an example of Trump’s pathological problem. He can’t control his mouth.
He cannot afford to alienate even 1/4 of the present Carson supporters. This is where elections are lost. If a candidate rises above another their first goal should always be to gain the supporters of the vanquished opponent. I could see this (again, if true) alienating many Carson supporters and if any GOP candidate is to win in the general they can’t afford that!
Trump’s new low key persona is not doing well in polls. He needs to go back to the bombastic bull in a China shop Trump that rocketed him to number one in the past.
I think I’ll tune in to Erin’s program at 7:00 CDT and check this out.

Carson supporters aren’t going to go to Trump anyway. Carson supporters are 2016 version of the Paulbot.
He did say it and I don’t know why. He rarely does something without intent. Usually when he makes some stupid ass statement like this, it’s to open it to a larger conversation. My guess is he wants ‘pathological’ debated and for Carson to explain.
Cruz doesn’t stoop to any personal attacks and, as far as I can tell, hasn’t lied. The contrast with Trump is obvious but they both have some similar as does Carson as well. As you say, there are some Carson supporters who will never vote for Trump.

Simple question. Attempting to hit your mother with a hammer and knife your friend is normal? An usually weird way to give yourself credential in a presidential race.
Exactly, c.j., Trump expressed his concern about it. It has to be dealt with. Since Carson said it himself in his book, then It has to be brought out.

Nope. The latest Fox national poll had the most Carson support doing just that going to Trump more than any other candidate in this race.

Guess I’ll wait for the video of him in his own words. I have heard him refer to Carson as pathological, I don’t recall him referencing a child molester. Could be but I do want to hear him say that.
