Ben Carson's Ridiculous 9/11 Answer
Liberty News ^ | 9/17/2015 | Dick Morris

Posted on 11/09/2015 9:48:20 AM PST by conservativejoy

I couldnt believe my eyes or ears when Ben Carson was asked about what his response would have been had he been president on 9/11. I couldnt believe his answer. He said that a better response than sending troops to Afghanistan to hunt down al Qaida would have been to make an all out effort to achieve energy independence.

Carson was only echoing what he wrote in his book 'America the Beautiful':

'After the 9/11 crisis almost everyone united behind President George W. Bush for a reason. Whether Americas ensuing steps into war in Afghanistan and Iraq will be seen as positive remains to be seen, but I can’t help thinking there may have been a better way to react that would not have cost us so many lives and financial capital. I believe that if the president had seized the moment and declared that we would become petroleum independent within the next 10 years as part of our efforts to strip terrorism of its resources, that business, industry, academia, & everyone else would have been foursquare behind him, and we would have been much further ahead in the fight against terrorism than we are today.'

So we are on notice. If terrorists attack America on our soil and kill 3,000 people, a President Ben Carson would not send in the troops. And our enemies are on notice, too.

This remarkable remark should rule him out as a presidential candidate. We needed to send in troops to keep al Qaida on its heels to keep the terrorists hopping from cave to cave, lest they be caught in the open and killed.

In the days after 9/11, nobody would have predicted that there would be no more attacks of that magnitude. It was our presence in Afghanistan that stopped al Qaida from getting its act together sufficiently to pull off a sequel.

Energy independence is well and good. And it is now within our grasp. But it took the new technology of fracking and a great deal of energy conservation to achieve it. (We are using over 1 million fewer barrels of oil per day now than we did in 2000.) It took us more than a decade to get where we are. To see this as an adequate response to such an attack is absurd.

No more Ben Carson for me!

I trust nobody but Cruz on second amendment, nobody but Trump on immigration, and nobody at all on TPP. Statehood is no big deal since we already send billions there. Carson would stop the unending growth in federal power and overreach and that is good enough even though I don’t agree with him on everything.

Another day, another reason Carson should never be allowed anywhere near the WH.

Go it. You lack the intellectual ability to do anything but post childish personal attacks. We should not expect anything different from you.

You still do not get it.

The issue here is treating people who insist on using theses sort of “smear and slander” political tactics as the scumbags they are.

Stop being a scumbag, and you will stop being treated like one.

Hey, Dick, tell your girlfriend to quit putting hallucinogens in her toenail polish.

Not good if he really said that.

Consider the source. If Dick Morris said the sun would rise tomorrow I'd check that I had fresh batteries for my flashlight just in case.

I like Carson as a dr but he should never be allowed anywhere near the office of President. He is far too weak. I realized that the first time I heard him. We need a very strong person to get us out of the mess this country is in.

Now Rush is twisting to God in favor of Carson.

We are not here judging him based on religion but his world view.

I will be happy to vote for Trump, Carson or Cruz. However, I will fight tooth and nail against these “slander and smear” political tactics every time I encounter them. These are the tactics of the scumbags of the Political Left and they need to be de-legitimized.

The supposed “conservatives” have decided to adopt these tactics raises serious questions about just how “conservative” they really are.

Fighting them by economic measures (primarily by developing non-fossil-fuel energy infrastructure — shifting to different sources of fossil fuel enables them to get the market back by enduring short-term price cuts, but a fundamental shift leaves them permanently high and dry with no use for their oil but to make a zillion gallons of camel lube).

I think I was pretty explicit about the military component aspect of what would have been an appropriate response.

I’m more worried about his current beliefs than his autobiography. The pacifist angle of the religion should be asked of Carson. He said Muslims shouldn’t be President ( I agree that anyone who supports Sharia law or promotes the Muslim religion over others should not be President), then it’s fair to ask what his religious beliefs are.

Mannatech is my biggest disappointment in Carson, promoting a sugar pill to cancer patients without any real unbias research.

I’ve already outline my other complaints, his Ferguson remarks, his top aide’s Farrahkan remarks, his TPP support, etc, but I thought I would bring up his pyramid story. Sean Hannity was defending him on various points in the autobiography. Then he asked him about the pyramid story. Ben said that’s what he believed. I think that surprised Sean.

This is a good story on the pyramid story.
Why do some people think the pyramids were grain stores?

One of the reason for supporting Ben Carson in the beginning is believing that he would have good analytical skills, but I think he is lacking these skills with his belief in the pyramids as grain storage and his belief and promotion of sugar pills that have not been properly researched to cure cancer.

Thanks to RetSignman

The Carson/SDA food pyramid.

There are many causes for vitamin B12 deficiency.

Surprisingly, two of them are practices often undertaken to improve health:

1. Vegetarian diet

2. weight-loss surgery.

http://chriskresser.com/b12-deficiency-a-silent-epidemic-with-serious-consequences/

A primary sign of low B12 levels is a constant lack of energy.

Oct 26, 2015 - On Friday in Miami, Trump had ripped Carson for having even less energy than Jeb Bush, whom Trump has called low-energy.

What I'd like to hear someone say is that if 911 had happened on their watch, they would've deported for good everyone who's in the US illegally, strengthen our borders, and make it IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to be in the US illegally. I'd also say that from that point on no Saudi "students" would get student visas to be in the US. I'd say that the first priority is to make the homeland safe, from within.

Has ANY pol said that? They're all trying to respond in a way that doesn't interfere with their paymasters globalist agenda. And look where that got us.....grrrr.....

Dr. Carson? What a silly, irrelevant man he is.

Dr. Carson favors the trade bill. I really don’t need to know anything else.

He’s disqualified on that alone.

If these candidates freeped they’d be way ahead of the game.

I have been listening to Rush and now he has gone off on the religious angle on defending Carson. Nothing about TPP or the 51 state deal. Just the religious and West Point defense. It got boring and I just turned off the radio.

Thanks for paying attention to the issues. I have yet for anyone supporting Carson to give any substantive answer as to why they support him.
