[T]here is NOTHING remotely conservative about Donald Trump and his candidacy.
You have to give them a path, a path to citizenship. Where have I heard that one before? I know, Jeb Bush and Lindsey Graham and of course every Democrat as well. Heâs zero for one there.
How about taxes? When Trump ran for president in 1999, he proposed a gigantic wealth tax on the American people, a 14.25% levy that he calculated would raise $5.7 trillion and wipe out the debt forever in one fell swoopâa wealth tax, going into your bank account and pulling out money from bank accounts. Obama is into his second term, and he hasnât even suggested that.
Since the 80s, he struggled so much with his identity, he has switched parties five times. Remember, a few months ago when people wanted George Stephanopoulos fired because he gave to the Clinton Foundation, remember that? Well, Donald Trump has given even more to the Clinton Foundation than Stephanopoulos did. Heâs given over $100,000 to the Clintons.
Since 1990, heâs given at least $541,650 to Democrats, far more than he gave to Republicans. The guy gave money to Rahm Emanuel and Harry Reid, Harry freaking Reid.
Trump said, âIâm totally pro-choice. I hate it and I hate saying it. And Iâm almost ashamed to say that Iâm pro-choice but I am pro-choice because I think we have no choice.â What? And âI believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors.â
Donald Trump: I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States.
He indicated his ideal vice president would be diehard Obama supporter Oprah Winfrey, and he was a registered Democrat until 2009
How about eminent domain? Years ago, Trump was looking to add a few more parking spots to one of his casinos in Atlantic City. To do so, he needed to acquire the property of Vera Coking, a senior citizen who had lived there for over three decades. So, did he make her an offer she couldnât refuse? No, he decided to use eminent domain. Yes, this conservative argued that the government needed to take a wrecking ball to this sweet old womanâs home, her private property, because it was an eyesore.
Thatâs not all on eminent domain, of course, because the big one is when the government destroyed peopleâs homes in Connecticut so an office building could be built in the Kelo decision which might be the worst Supreme Court ruling of my lifetime. Trump said he backed the government 100%. Eminent domain is more than something he supports. Itâs his business plan. In fact, a nice chunk of Trumpâs wealth has come from using the force of government to take property from private individuals to line his pockets. Beyond the sheer lack of basic humanity, it definitely takes a liberal progressive to do something like that.
lol Ain’t that the truth.
I take it that you don't believe any of what Beck says? I don't know if any of it is true or not, but it shouldn't take a whole lot of effort to find the truth one way or the other. However, none of the rabidly pro-Trump "conservatives" on this forum seem inclined to investigate Beck's allegations, or those of anyone else for that matter. Although, before Trump decided that he would like to add the Oval Office to his list of acquisitions I can't remember reading anything praiseworthy about him on FR, and I've been here since most pro-Trump FReepers were in junior high school.
I'm not saying that any or all of Beck's allegations are true, or false for that matter, I'm wide open to factual information one way or the other. But it does seem logical to me that even if the chances of Beck's accusations being true are small to none they should be checked out before we all collectively draft Trump into the Oval Office without bothering with a pesky election. Taking even a small chance that some of Beck's accusations are true doesn't appeal me as long as there are at least one or two well vetted and approved conservatives in the race against a man who has been all over the political map at one time of another for almost as long as I can remember seeing his name in print.
All I can say is that if Trump is elected I hope that he'll stay on the conservative side of the political map for at least as long as he's in office. But if his checkered political past is prologue to his future, I seriously doubt that my hope will be realized.
Glen Beck B.S......
First, Oprah is NOT a political subject.... So I guess you have 0 friends that are Democrats? Please....
EVERYONE KNOWS, Trump is for securing the border. Hence, why they call him a racist
He is no longer “pro choice” except in rape, incest and life of the mother. I know A LOT of people that were once Pro Choice and now like Trump are Anti Abortion unless it’s rape, incest or life of the mother. That’s it!
You Beck followers are absolutely pathetically stupid. Which Establishment Rat are you voting for?
Trump/Cruz 2016
Merv Griffin is dead.
The dude had different views 3 years ago. Nobody changes that quickly. Trump hasn’t even been vetted like Reagan was after he changed parties. Anyone who believes that is a fool.
It’s all PRO-evil
Beck’s reasons for not liking Trump are probably not because he isn’t Conservative. It’s probably some stupid reason. I don’t like Trump because I do not believe that he is genuine.
And Marco is the backup GOPe candidate for Jeb, make no mistake about that.
The establishment has the process rigged towards the winner take all delegates formatted Florida Primary of March 15th and other winner take all formatted primaries in more liberal Republican states to follow.
The primaries in TX and the other conservative southern states on March 1st have a proportionally oriented distribution of delegates with a candidate required to either have 50 percent or more of the vote or 20 percent or more with no one else over 20 percent to win all.
And that was the last time I voted for a RINO for anything......Never again......
President Reagan would NEVER take the attitude that Mr. Trump has concerning the recent SCOTUS decision on forcing homosexual marriage on the states. Mr. Trump considers it to be a settled matter. That makes Mr. Trump forever unacceptable to me as a person to vote for in any election. I cannot support him in either a primary or general election. I will stay home or leave the ballot blank if Mr. Trump gets the GOP nomination.
Mr. Trump is, in my opinion, in no way remotely like President Reagan. A potential victory by Mr. Trump is - in my opinion - not a victory at all. There is more to an election than just beating Hillary Clinton.
Yes, excellent, we agree with you! We also don’t like that Trump is pro-choice when it comes to babies being conceived through rape or incest. There are three men sitting at the bottom of the polls right now who are godly men and believe all life is sacred. This nation has insulted Christ long enough. We will not vote for Trump either.
I would accept the same from Cruz, but not from GOPe swine Yeb or Dondi.
Nice to know he'll keep those ethanol subsidies flowing though isn't it?
I think you're just mad because there's no vitriol subsidy, cc.
Ethanol is unimportant in the current national conversation. You'd have to whack the EPA to tackle that issue, and I'm not sure any of the candidates are talking about those slimeballs.
Wow....you’ve reached deep in to crazy-land, today...to post your Trump smear pieces, TBD.
Inquisitr, TMZ....and now Glenn Beck.
FReepers lost all faith in Beck when he went off the deep end with his “Tune-in Monday Bombshell” on the Boston bomber guy. LOTS of lead up, nothing ever materialized. Typical Beck. Beck loved him some Romney, last election, too. But slams Trump.
Where’s the Ha ha! guy, when we need him?
Like I said, anyone who tells me that they would accept that kind of muslim ass kissing from any other candidate is a liar and we all know it.
I get in trouble from my conservative friends for trash-talking Beck when they tune him in on the radio.
They know I'm even more conservative than they are, because I've been a conservative activist for nearly two decades, and they can't understand why I think that Beck is scum.
Lookit you, Muzzieville boy. :)
Okay Beck, because Trump was pro-choice earlier in his life, but has since changed his mind, he’s pro-abortion?
Does that mean you’re still an alcoholic?
Trump is liberal on what issue? I have read his recent books, and I see no evidence of liberalism.
Conservatism has many facets. Military, fiscal, welfare, social.
In my honest opinion pro-Kelo is extremely fiscal conservative. Economy is #1 issue, not Kelo.
