These threads crack me up. It’s funny to see such kind and rational people, people I’ve met in person and know they would give you the shirt off their back without thinking twice, speaking SO harshly about what they would do to the weak humans and the various names they call the walkers. I love TWD!

Takes all kinds.

I personally would show more compassion toward humans than most to a point.

I can’t remember the type of fence it was—chain link or otherwise—but I remember thinking she would have had a hard time getting it through there to reach him.

I believe those were Nicholas’ guts we saw the walkers tearing into and Glenn, under him, was reacting in horror not pain. But as much as I want Glenn to survive, I don’t see any plausible way for him to get him out.

But why didn’t take care of the guy (David?) who was being eaten on the other side of the chain link fence with her katana? She was standing right there, and the walkers were stopped by the fence.

I know. They just stood there and watched. I was hoping Dreadlocks would just shoot him and put him out of his misery.

Exactly. There were just too many of them. It's not like they got full. Glenn had nowhere to go.

I'm going to have faith in the writers though. They've pulled some good stuff out of their hats and they seem to know the expectations of their fans.

Smell has a lot to do with walkers attacking.

Smearing gore on themselves was how they walked out of the building in Atlanta in season one. Michonne used her walker “pets” to cover her scent and she also approached the prison the first time covered in gore.

We wondered about that, but maybe they couldn’t spare the ammo?

Maybe, but in many cases you could still stab them in the brain. The black guy on the other side of the fence could have shot or stabbed married guy... could be the producers don’t want to give up the screamin’:)

Thanks for the ping!

I think Glenn is still alive - it was Nicholas’ body that we saw being eaten.

I agree.

But there are only three ways for Glenn to not be next meal.

1) Improbable rescue.

2) Improbable escape.

3) It was all a dream--or Nicholas' hallucination.

Any of these would cheapen the show, imo. As much as I hate it, Glenn has to die.

Darryl is pretty much the most worthless character on the show. He kills walkers with arrows and then has to go fetch the arrows which is a highly inefficient method, especially given how many alternatives are available.

He’s not a leader, he’s not a planner, he wouldn’t even say shit if he had a mouthful

Perhaps, most importantly, he doesn’t seem to have the ability or interest in procreating.

He needs to go.

Yeah but that was walker blood & guts. Glenn is now covered in Nicholas’ blood & guts. He might as well be covered in barbeque sauce.

Glenn didn’t appear on the Talking Dead as a surprise guest or “In Memoriam”. He’s not dead - at least, not yet.

I think that while the Walkers are busy munching on Nicholas’ body, Glenn is able to shimmy under the dumpster. Another loud noise or fire or some other distraction will draw them away. After they are gone, he climbs out.

OK
I just finished re-watching Season 6 Episode 1 and paid attention to the timeline.
All of the black and white scenes end after...
-some wrap-up of events from Season 5,
-discovering the walker quarry,
-saving Ron from the walkers,
-all of the planning for dealing w/ the quarry walkers,
-Carter talking about killing Rick,
-Carter holding a gun on Eugene...

It seems that the flash-back point is from
how they -thought- it would be to deal with the quarry walkers
to how it actually went down.

Now that you mention it, lol ... There were an unusual number of people that were eaten alive last week. The brunette girl mauled on the sidewalk. David at the fence. Sturgis, but we didn't see him die, just the walkers munching on him afterward. So that's three if I'm not forgetting anyone.

Then we're led to believe Glenn is being eaten alive ...

Don't know if there's any significance to it all, but it just seems odd. The last time the walkers ate this good was at the prison (weren't Laurie and T-Dog devoured in the same episode?)

Nicholas also had three of those ear-whistling PTSD attacks. Never had them before (that we saw) but he had three in one episode ...

The bike “walker” is Lance Armstrong
competing in the Tour de Dead.

Glenn has to die.

The way the story line moves around and seems to center on specific characters at times, WE may not know for another week or more whether Glenn lives or dies.
