While preppers and survivalists have grown in numbers over recent years, preparing for everything from an Electromgnetic Pulse (EMP) to a zombie apocalypse, with sites catering to those prepping on a budget, and the U.S. government continues to stock their underground facilities for an extinction level event, another segment of society is preparing for doomsday and how to survive it in style.
Billionaires are buying up space in underground bunkers, luxury bomb shelters, paying up to $35,000 just as an entry fee to the Vivos Indiana facility, but the price tag for the Vivos Europa One facility, described as a subterranean Noahs Ark will run you $3 to $5 million, and according to Robert Vicino, founder and CEO of survival prep company the Vivos Group, his clients range from top surgeons to movie stars to U.S. miltary colonels.
While Pulse.com highlights the man who builds luxury bomb shelters for the billionaires afraid of doomsday, with careful attention to detail in describing what these luxury bunkers look like and include, a few interesting points are made within the article, including the fact that catering to doomsday preppers has become a multibillion dollar business.

It Is Not the Strongest of the Species that Survives But the Most Adaptable - C Darwin
good one. slydexia thak god that uo ocreted me.
I’ll put in on my Buy list for purchase in the near future. Any ideas on why someone said to ignore the weapons reco?
Maybe they’re afraid of the masses who are jealous of their vast wealth and would love to see them pay for a change.
It’s the jealously the poor have for the rich and the rich will be shown no mercy when the playing field is leveled.
I do like certain areas of E Tennessee, but I’m not too concerned about Memphis. I believe the city dwellers will hang close to the city until they no longer have the resources to cause trouble in the countryside.
Memphis is over seven hours and two metro areas away. Not a concern for East Tennessee. Atlanta could be, though.
Somehow, I can't imagine you helping Laz with his ...ehem..."other" survival requirements.
My bad. Just being a wise arse, as usual.
When it all collapses, I’m heading to Erwin, where they hang elephants for killing people.
I took it in the fun it was intended.
The topic of weapons is very subjective, and there are those who have strong opinions on the topic. However, the recommendations I made were based on a TON of research (my book's bibliography - 19 pages in a tiny font, is indicative of exactly how much research was involved).
You can read te first 60 pages of the book online at nofema.com. I also recommend a scan of the table of contents.
Me and the Mrs. area looking to relocate there for retirement. Johnson County area in NE TN...or maybe Johnson City area.
Other than housing availability/prices, gun laws in TN and tax rates...which all look good to me, I haven't done too much detailed research.
Loved the photos at the link.
If I were a billionaire, I’d definitely want a gigantic aquarium filled with tropical fish, and a mirror over the bed, in my doomsday bunker.
The mirror could be used to start a fire to fry the fish.
Or not.
From the link: “What do I see in our future now? I see pitchforks !”
Herein is an interesting dilemma for the Trumpettes on FR who seem to think President Trump will be leading the pitchfork brigades, fighting the good fight with us and for us, and justice will reign in the land.
Um, no.
Methinks instead he’ll be inside one o’ those luxury bunkers, and we’ll be on our own.
Our complacency and misguided trust in “leaders” is what got is into this fix. Our vote won’t fix things, not even if the candidate claims to be Batman or insists that another 9/11 won’t happen on his watch. Trusting in leaders again and again while expecting different results is the definition of insanity.
Neither The Donald nor anybody else is gonna protect us or save us if SHTF. We really are on our own, and that’s as it should be.
All the more reason to prep. Self sufficiency is its own form of self defense.
I recommend that you give a good look at Crossville, TN.
How will these rich folks know if they will be able to reach their place of safety when “IT” happens ?
Hopefully 100+ miles from Nashville will be far enough.
