People have always been fascinated by the last words of others.
Perhaps they hold a touch of wisdom, or a final joke, or even confirmation of who's getting what in the will.
In light of that, Business Insider put together a list of the reported last words of 18 famous historical figures.
Check them out below.
1. Karl Marx, philosopher.
"Last words are for fools who haven't said enough."

2. Richard Feynman, theoretical physicist. Nobel Prize winner.
"I'd hate to die twice. It's so boring."

3. Archimedes, mathematician.
"Stand away, fellow, from my diagram!"
Archimedes was killed during the Second Punic War. According to the historian Plutarch, a soldier reportedly came up to the mathematician and told him to go with him to Marcellus. Archimedes, however, refused to do so until he finished the problem he was working on. Enraged, the soldier killed him.

4. Napoléon Bonaparte, French military and political leader.
"France, the army, the head of the army, Joséphine."

5. Humphrey Bogart, actor.
"I should never have switched from Scotch to Martinis."

Shi ne plane! Eih so hi!
Mayor of Hiroshima, 1945
THIS IS NOT AN OPUS!

Seems Archimedes ran out of leverage....
Or "I wonder what this button does."
I’ve always wondered what Mohammad’s last words were...
Oh yeah. It had been going on for days.
He was ready. And we were ready. I remember feeling almost happiness for him when we got back to the room. His faith was strong. But his pain was bad.
The entire experience made me “feel good” about the dying process. I know that might sound weird. But it I had a feeling of comfort knowing that we had both done our duty to each other.
I see what you did there.
What he said was: "Why are you dodging like this? They couldn't hit an elephant at this distance."
The popular account that those were his last words, or that he did not even complete the sentence is false. He was killed within a few moments of saying that, but they were not his literal, final words.
Correct, but those were not literally his last words.
Best last words...”It is finished, Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit”
- Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci) in "Goodfellas."
That brought back memories. When I was in the Air Force in the 50's, I was stationed at Naha AB Okinawa. I worked on the F-86D jet which had an electronic fuel control system (with vacuum tubes). To test the system we had to run the engine. One morning, I was tasked to run up this airplane and there was a delay in getting me a start cart. I was playing around with some of the switches when I noticed this big red button on the left upper console. It said, "Drop Tanks." I thought, "I wonder if this works with the battery switch off." Guess what?
“There ain’t a Spanish bullet made that can kill me!”-
Bucky O’Neil, just before he was shot and killed at San Juan Hill.
Still, it seems he was tempting fate nonetheless.
