As this was read, the urge to search “Will No Longer Publish Nude Photos” of WOMEN was not found. It was thought the headlines were only a trick to inform the public the mag had decided to move beyond the realm and publish photos of nude males....after all, in this day and age.....
Sigh, what a pity for the young boys in the future. What will they do and where will they be forced to find what they seek?
They'll find pr0n on the internet.
But in my opinion, the real tragedy of this change in Playboy is the loss of RESOLUTION.
Playboy centerfolds were carefully done photographic artworks (at least, long ago they were, I haven't looked at a centerfold in 20 years). They had some careful airbrushing and such, but overall they were very high resolution film photos, not digital. And as such, they could be used as lessons in how to do photography of the human body.
The pr0n on the internet is a travesty, in terms of photographic quality.
And that is IMO the biggest shame of this turn of events.
