The news has been hurtling around the world tonight on Twitter:Welcome home, Kirsten.
Roger on the ditto.
Good quote, I like it!
Get thee behind me, Satan.
Did Peter 'believe' that as well?
As is usual for you, you are wrong again and making a false accusation.
Your despicable and condescending comments to Christians here at Free Republic show what is in your heart
King James BibleBut take heart terycarl, Jesus has the answer for you.
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man--Matthew 15:18
Ask Him to search your heart to expose all the hate and viciousness within you. He will be glad to do so and if you follow His and the Bible's advice you can experience the joy of the Lord.
Like that is going to happen.
Mobius Strip Catholics have no Biblical basis to debate the many misconceptions and outright lies the are compelled to spew with no regard for the truth.
No matter how many times they are lovingly given the Gospel message to bring them into a personal relationship with Jesus.
Jesus wants them to be with Him and He with them 24hrs a day instead of just, as they believe, only when they eat the "actual" body and blood of Jesus.
Christians know that when Jesus first gave his body and blood at the last supper that it wasn't literal. After all, he was standing right there and did not tear his flesh off and bleed into a cup. (He called it the "fruit of the vine")
"Do this in remembrance of Me"
Thank you Daniel1212 for your dedication to bringing the true Gospel message to those deceived and on the path to destruction.
Who is the other one?
Not certain
Thank you for being honest concerning your Pluralistic ignorance:
Pluralistic ignoranceThe "norm" here being that Peter was there when Jesus instituted what is commonly called communion. In social psychology, pluralistic ignorance is a situation in which a majority of group members privately reject a norm, but incorrectly assume that most others accept it, and therefore go along with it. This is also described as "no one believes, but everyone thinks that everyone believes."
He was given a piece of bread about which Jesus said "This is my Body" and Peter could see the metaphor involved--Jesus did not rip off His flesh.
Jesus said do this IN REMEMBERANCE of me.
Take a block of time to completely read the Gospel of John after sincerely praying for the Holy Spirit to guide you in all understanding.
It can bring you to a state of being born again and have Jesus in you and you in Jesus and create in you a marvelous personal relationship with God through Jesus.
All right. I know that Jim doesn't approve of Catholic bashing.
Returning back to this thread to reply to you, I see you're right that it's still inhabited by some of the maniacal, pietistic, posters, which is the reason I ignore these threads unless and until I'm pinged by someone like you. Be well, dearest sitetest. Ignore them. They're Simon-pure in their own minds.
Hi dearest, sweet you, (((antceecee)))
God bless and keep you.
Hay Syncro!!
How are you doing?
God bless and keep you.
Come visit us on our FReepathon thread!
OH?
The epistles were NOT letters?
It appears that the RULES can be ignored if you don’t like them.
Sigh...
Seven Catholic churches; so famous, so adored.
All gone now except for rubble...
How about Luther bashing?
Now, how about that part about "word of mouth"?
Hanging in there my dear friend, thanks for the greeting!
God does indeed bless me, and He promised he would keep me, happened while I was reading the Gospel of John many decades ago.
It’s a glorious reality that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you. As you may remember, I was in the hospital for a while this summer. I am getting better. Treatment and recovery proceed apzce.
Regarding this thread, I understand what you’re saying. I’m just not gonna help pay for it.
The metaphorical view is indeed the one that easily conflates with the totality of Scripture, while the literalistic one cannot , but is necessary for her unScriptural priesthood .
Our response is that it is different, but not in the sense of contradictory. Rather it is harmonious with consistent with, dependent upon, predicted by, a fulfillment of, congruent to, rooted in, what is taught in Scripture.
