That is absolutely correct!
But to be honest, we don't really use “mabuhay” in everyday conversations - for some weird reason we normally reserve it for greeting foreigners or during official government functions.
We prefer saying “kumusta? or “how are you?” with the expected response to be “mabuti” or “fine.”

Thanks, but we mostly prefer coffee ;-p

All looks good. Needs rice though.

Puno ng palos ang aking hoberkrap!!! 😆 I hope I got that one correct lol. Welcome aboard FR. We are freedom loving Americans, and we appreciate the Philippines, and our long shared history with your country. We hope to be invited back to again share the common defense of your country and region from bullies like China. We have plenty of problems here at home, but we can't lose sight of your nations safety.

I was thinking the same thing: needs rice.
LOL - my lovely Pinay girlfriend got me hooked on rice when I was in Mindanao.
Welcome to FR.

Hi, I am sure we will be arguing soon.
Just remember the rules of fight club....if it’s your first night, you have to fight.

And hopefully you don’t mind having discussions with a lot of curmudgeons as well. Lot of those here. :)
Hey!!!!...Leave me out of this!

Welcome, Raymond... The first foreign country I ever visited was the Philippines. That was over 50 years ago, and to this day it remains among my favorites. I found the people to be warm and congenial. My houseboy in the barracks at Clark Air Base in Pampanga was called Orlando Pamintuan. Hope you enjoy your time here.
