I will try to post one of these for each series also, NOT EACH GAME, or something like that.
Thanks to ken5050!
I am so conflicted by this game we watched the Pirates all year on ROOT and I love their ballpark but I went to school with Joe Maddon. He was our high school football quarterback and I played little league and midget football with Joe back when I lived in Hazleton.
The good thing is no matter who wins I'll have a team to root for against the Cards.
Looks like the Cubbies can ride Arrieta like the Giants rode Bumgarner last year.
Pirates playing Pirate ball now one big HR away from a tie game.
Oh! double play rally killer.
No Marte parte.
Ruh Roh!
I just got home. 4-0 Cubs. Normally I would say that the Pirates have suffered long enough but vs the Cubs...
Re #43:
That’s the story of baseball, “We were just ONE big hit away...”.
4-0 Cubs, top of the 7th.
Could have both Wild Card games without the home team scoring a run.
There is a part of me that is really pulling for the Cubs this year. I like the Pirates though and feel for their pain.
And that’s that!
Indeed.
Should be a classic series between the Cubbies and Cardinals, I think I’m taking the Cubbies to win that series.
Pretty sharp contrast in that the National League series’ feature four of their marquee franchises and the American League features four teams that are clearly not marquee franchises.
Well, I’m a Cards fan. I live in SW Missouri. But I’m not a Mike Matheny fan. I won’t say that I’ll pull for the Cubs, but I don’t think I’ll be pulling as hard as I normally would for the Cards.
They may or may not. As is the case with any team. God had no issues helping the Blackhawks win a few Stanley Cups over the last five years.
