A 12-year-old boy is suspended from school for 'staring' at another student. It happened in September of 2014 at St. Gabriel Consolidated School in Glendale. The parents filed suit in Hamilton County Common Pleas court to try and get the suspension erased claiming the school didnt give their son due process.
A Judge denied the claim, which means as of now the suspension of the 12-year-old stands. The perception is he intimidated her, said Candice Tolbert, his mother.
My son stared at a girl who was engaged in a staring game, she said. She giggled the entire time, she said from her Liberty Township home.
Court paper shows the female student "felt fearful. The incident happened on a Monday. The school was notified by the girls parents on Tuesday. They allegedly notified the Tolberts son on Tuesday, but did not tell the Tolberts until Wednesday. By that time, their son had already written an apology letter, which the parents said they were unaware of until notified by the school.

Reason number 10,996,442 to padlock the government schools and throw away the key.
Are you sure you didn’t search on “Is your daughter anorexic?”
Sheesh!

Boys will always stare at girls, a**holes! Unless, of course, you want them to bugger other boys - like at English public schools.
That was a critical comma there.
Dunno. I just figured this would give conservative people cover with the idiots who’d rip them for homeschooling. One of their current idols was too.
I see your point.
Most child actors are privately tutored. It’s about the only to comply with the child-labor law.
She was home schooled. Not privately tutored. They are not automatically identical.
Gives a whole different impression.
No, but when an actress has been working steadily since the age of 6, you’re not talking about the typical experience of homeschooling.
I think most people accept the idea of “homeschooling” for child performers or athletes, but not for your average kid who might someday get a business degree or go to welding school.
And plenty of child actors become really screwed up people too.
Point is it would shut them up. You want to give your kids the same benefits atht apeared to help a curent celeb fave of the infotainment masses.
A staring contest? Oh my, I remember those innocent games and that I enjoyed them even when I lost. I cannot even conceive of feeling threatened if a little boy had better composure than me. If only the liberals had as much concern about dissecting an unborn infant for profit.
Add to this the fact that colleges are finding that college students cannot cope with life without Mommy and Daddy and spend more time nurturing physically mature infants than they do in educating adults. . .and the taxpayers are expected to pay for this service since these utterly inept excuses for human beings will never be able to pay their debts.
No kidding. Kaley is getting divorced after less than 2 years, not that this is unusual in any socioeconomic group.
Another rumor had it that girls’ black patent leather shoes reflected upward.
They got married extremely fast. Recipe for disaster nowadays.
OOoohh, if only I knew !
I was in Catholic grade school in the 1950s and early 1960s. At my school there were no buses: We all walked to school, rode our bikes to school, or our parents drove us to school.
“There was a well believed rumor, that a girl could get pregnant, from sitting next to a boy, on the school bus ;)”
Also in Catholic school, the nuns told us that if we wore patent leather shoes, the boys could see up our dresses.
Yeah. And of course, when people have careers such that they’re never together, there’s not much motivation to stay married once the first flush of excitement is over.
