The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) apologized on Wednesday for temporarily implementing what it called an "ill-advised" policy at some medical centers that banned veterans from bringing cellphones to appointments, according to a statement provided by the VA to the Washington Free Beacon.
The VA did not explain why it issued the initial phone ban.

The VA did not explain why it issued the initial phone ban. Maybe the pictures of employees taking "catnaps" was embarrassing?

I really don’t understand it, and only halfway believe it, but the local hospitals say the phones interfere with either their security commo, or the doctor pagers...and they have a ban as well.

Urban legend hoisted on us by the hospitals.
I am in health care and many hospitals have given up on that line.

Vets, sorry, to Maobama and his goons, you are garbage. Blame the American people who voted for this Communist bastard for the latest fiasco. Remember when the turd shut down your open-air WWII memorial?

That MIGHT have been true 15 years ago before the systems were upgraded. Now that is just silly.

Remember, Trump said he’d abolish the VA and provide Vets with access to the civilian medical system.

Will someone, anyone please explain why we even have a VA?
We know they are corrupt, allow and permit this nation's finest hero to die while waiting for appointments or worse yet, not even granting them an appointment at all, then treating them like vermin!
Absolutely no reason to have a government agency to pretend to provide care for these people when we provide excellent care for illegal aliens and their families!!!

It’s about covering their a$$e$. They don’t want people taking pictures or recording anything that could potentially be used in a lawsuit.

Veterans get treated like feces while muslims and illegal aliens get treated like royalty. This regime can't be out of office soon enough.

I was in an IRS office this summer with a wait time of several hours and a cell phone ban enforced by armed guard. On the wall right next to the cell phone ban poster was another IRS poster with QR codes that can only be read... by cell phone.

I don't mean the VA systems, I mean the whole dang cell phone system. (Analog to Digital)

This screams to me that they tried to make sure they could not be secretly recorded...pure and simple. Its no different than Hillary having a clear zone enforced around her so you can’t catch her in her perpetually angry and hatfeul natural state.
