It was.
We had a great meal together, and the cats got turkey bits throughout the meal as well.
They were all sleeping yesterday, LOL! And they’re still lazing around today.
Last night after dinner, we watched “Terminator Genisys,” that we bought, and it’s
not a Netflix rental, so it came with “extras” discs.
So after the movie we watched what we call “The How I Did It” and learned a LOT
about what movie makers do to make all these movies so very entertaining. Arnold is
still DA BOMB when it comes to playing Terminator.
A bit of true gossip from the late 1970’s when we lived in California:
Bryan and I used to ride our motorcycles in the canyons of Malibu, and one Sunday
afternoon, we rode up to the top of Stunt Road (yes, there is an actual road named
“Stunt” Road), and what to our wondering eyes should appear, but Arnold Schwarzenegger
and a small posse of weight lifters and stunt muscle men, stopped for a short rest.
Not being the groupie types, we promptly got back on our bikes and rode down the other
side of the mountain, continuing on Stunt Road. We got a few stares as we rode by, but
I’m sure that the men were happy not to be badgered by (shudder) groupies.
And even though we didn’t stop to say hello to them, it was a real highlight of the ride
for me. Bryan is a little bit shy about that stuff, but I’m sure he was impressed too.
I tend not to approach celebrities and other famous people because they’re just people,
exactly like the rest of us puny humans.

That’s a great story. I’ve always liked Arnold. I don’t think that the Terminator series is the same without him.

In that case, we heartily recommend “Terminator: Genisys”
And we really loved Arnold as the Governor of California.
His famous quote, that his staff was full of “girly men”
started a firestorm, but he just stood there and took the
razzing. He is a unique man, doubtless.
Egad! Those were the days!

I’ll definitely watch it, then. You’re not kidding. Those days are gone, but I hope, not forever.

It really was a treat..It turned cold and rainy...Watching those little ones explore twigs and berries when the rain finally stopped was so cute. They were impervious to the chill..They wanted OUT!
We all live in different places in Texas so it is wonderful to see them all at once.
I got lots of bear hugs from my grown grandsons.

That’s so great. Our family lives in so many different areas of the country that it’s next to impossible to get us all together. Still, we hope to visit Florida again next winter, where many of our siblings have relocated. We had a wonderful time late last winter. This time around, we’ll be able to meet the new baby of one of my nieces. That will be fun. The baby girl’s name is Raegan. Such a happy baby!

I love it. We have friends and family in Largo, Orlando, Bradenton, Palmetto, Lakeland, the Villages, Sanibel Island and Northport. Everyone who doesn’t live there is happy to visit, even our family in Hawaii.

Hi MEG!
I spent the day with my brother and his family. They live in Middleboro, near Cape Cod.
I got lost driving home in the dark on the hideous, heinous I93/I93/Rt3/Rt128/Rt24 Interchange which makes all other intersections look like a simple game of Cats Cradle.

You are my help and my deliverer.
Psalm 40:17
C. S. Lewis and his older brother, Warren (Warnie), endured several terms at Wynyard, an English boarding school for boys. The headmaster was a cruel man who made life unbearable for everyone there. Decades later, Warnie wrote in his understated dry wit, âI am now sixty-four and a bit, and have never yet been in a situation in which I have not had the consolation of reflecting that at any rate I was better off than I was at Wynyard.â Most of us can recall a similar dark and difficult time in our lives and be grateful that weâre better off now than we were then.
Psalm 40:1-5 records a low point of Davidâs life when he cried out to the Lord who rescued him. God brought him up from âthe slimy pitâ and âthe mud and mireâ and set his feet on a rock (v. 2). âHe put a new song in my mouth,â David says, âa hymn of praise to our Godâ (v. 3).
But deliverance from depression and despair are seldom one-time events. Psalm 40 continues with Davidâs renewed plea for Godâs mercy, lovingkindness, and truth to deliver him from his own sin and the threats of his enemies (vv. 11-14).
Along with David, we can say at every low point, âI am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my delivererâ (v. 17).
How does recalling a low point in your life encourage you to trust God for His help today?
The One who holds the universe will never let you down.
