Projection and threat certainly merged in the positon of Mussolini's chin when he was riding high and making those speeches from the balcony of the Palazzo Chigi in Rome, witnessed by this author when he was a graduate student at the University in Rome. This word should be a joy to use. There is much around and about us that is dire and full of threat.
Were we a weak and trembling folk we would surely falter. But we are not wastrals.
We are the people of the Book, virile and steadfast. We look at the fearsome and spit in its eye.
Come, let us spit together at all that is minacious.

"We are the people of the Book, virile and steadfast. We look at the fearsome and spit in its eye.
Come, let us spit together at all that is minacious." Minacious, mendacious, and maleficent, the Minotaur in the China Shop, er, White House, has a habit of trying to get his Alinski-ite points across at every turning.
The shattered remnants of former creations shows his skill at unerring destruction, but his clueless rampage continues. The crunch of porcelain beneath his cloven feet is like music to his ears.
This maze grows tiresome. Is there no light at the end for us?

I guess it would be mendacious

it's like the T-Rex:
an adjective from the Cretaceous!

Wisconsin FReepers are quite minacious when they deign to discuss the direction of their votes in the upcoming Senatorial election. They also have short memories as to how bad the preceding senator was (Feingold) and seem bound to re-elect him in a fit of pique over some of the votes of our current Senator — Ron Johnson.
