Thousands of festival-goers were left stranded at TomorrowWorld and forced to sleep on top of cars and on wet and muddy grass.
Organizers of the event offered refunds for Sundays ticketholders as the bad weather made the last day of the three-day electronic dance music festival inaccessible.
But those who tried to leave after Saturday nights closing set were left waiting in the rain for hours as poor planning led to traffic congestion around the festival site in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.
The festival was only accessible to visitors in the DreamVille on-site camping area after heavy rain hampered the events parking fields, drop-off locations and shuttle bus system.
According to Mashable.com, people were unable to escape the 8,000-acre site because organizers prevented cabs, Uber cars, and shuttle buses from approaching pick-up locations.
Poor preparation by organizers meant those who were not camping on site were left with no food, water or shelter.

Ive been to countless raves and outdoor shows even the EDC. We know what to expect and most of them suck when it comes to cleanliness.
Plan B... hahahaha. Plan C... yeah right. These youngsters never had to plan for anything.
Of course, I can’t talk much... circa, 1991 staggering away from an outdoor Red Hot Chili Peppers concert carrying a chicken.
I have no idea.
The only thing worse than having this happen would be to run out of beer and have this happen.
I take it you have the t-shirt.
Note to self: Avoid large crowds of morons. That is all.
Banjo music
I hope some libs got slimed!
Looks like they named it perfectly.
“one must have gear and a plan.”
An Ipod at home would be a fantastic plan!
HA HA. The children of the Woodstock Generation “Helicopter Parents” are pussies!
After seeing photos of the mud, lack of hygiene and the like for events like Glastonbury the last place I want to be is at a music festival in middle of nowhere places in rainy climates.
“no food, water or shelter”
No motor car, not a single luxury
Like Robinson Crusoe, as primitive as can be
What, are they fenced-in?
Sounds like a couple of Civil War reenactments that I have been to. Luckily, authentic cavalry usually parks a long way from the event and rides in. Those that have to be close to their cars and trailers are stuck for days.
Stupidity is its own reward...
Come on man.
Plan B was EAT THE CHICKEN IF STARVING.
Plan C was GET THE HELL ACROSS THE ROAD (to your car) IF NOT.
And it all worked out great for you!
I would have had a plan, had I not been 21 years old and dumb as a boot.
And I would have executed the plan had it not been for certain, uh, recreational substances that I don’t believe we really need to get into.
