I’m going to the hospital now.
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other
That we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
We enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me,
Let my name be ever the household word that
It always was.
Let it be spoken without effort,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolutely unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am
Out of sight? I am but waiting for you
For an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Canon Henry Scott Holland (1847-1918)
Prayers for you and all the family. I don’t know what his condition is, but he knows that you are there and this is the best gift you can give him.
Prayers for your father, your family and loved ones.
Very sorry to hear, Prayers for your Dad.
Prayers for you and your father Lucy.
Prayers for you and your dad, Lucy.
Prayer done for Dad, You and the rest of the Family.
I don’t know what the details are but if He’s in pain and nothing can be done. (I’ve been there.) When He passes try to remember that He is no longer in pain and in a better place than We are and not hurting anymore.
I know that this may seem callused but it worked some for Me when I lost My Dad.
Hang in there and remember We (FReepers) are here for You.
Prayers up.
Praying for you and your family, Lucy.
Prayers to God for you both.
May the angels protect his soul on his journey to meet Jesus. May you have peace knowing he is well cared for.
Prayers for your father, and your family

Adding my prayer
God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray for Lucy Hamilton's father, who is returning to You.
Have mercy on him, I beg,
cleanse him from all attachment to sin,
And make his glorious in Your Kingdom.
I pray in hope for his family and for mine,
and for relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.
So sorry to hear this, Lucy. Will send prayers!
