Please check the last few posts on this thread, AllAmericanGirl. . . Clorox added a final new product that is essentially the old Clorox called Clorox Germicidal that will be OK to use. . . with a modification of the formula.

There are a couple of interests in Chlorox, here.

One is Dakin's Solution for oral hygiene.

Another is germicidal treatment of surfaces.

and yet another is the use as a purifying agent in drinking water.

Surface treatments require a threshold level of germicidal activity only, so long as they don't eat the surface, so concentration is not so critical.

With Dakin's solution you have a target amount, but nonreactive adulterants might not be a problem because of limited exposure time. If it tastes like 'spring meadow', oh well, so long as it works.

People are relying on some form of bleach or pool shock solution to purify water, sometimes on a day to day basis, for others in the event of disaster or breakdown in ordinary services. For sanitizing water for consumption, however, ideally, there should ideally be only what is needed for germicidal action.

When I did a search, the result was this:

Ultra Clorox® Germicidal Bleach (Discontinued) This product has been discontinued.

So are you saying baking soda is safe to brush with daily? And I could cut out toothpaste completely? How often is it safe to rinse with Bleach solution?

Don’t have anything against toothpaste, but I’m sure we get enough fluoride from drinking water, and why waste money on it if baking soda is superior?

Also, slightly related question but I have very sensitive teeth. Can you recommend a very soft toothbrush for me?
