It is about time, we have a pro-American jobs president.
NAFTA must die, and all trade deals like it.
Does Trump have overseas businesses?
Yes America has been giving away the store. It’s time to close the doors to thieves. Members only from now on.
Go, Trump, GO!!
I like Ted but he has to get right on immigration.
I think it’s great that Trump might actually pull the plug on these establishment policies. However, if he actually is in a position of power and leverage to actually implement an anti-establishment agenda - I hate to say it but I think he would be taken out. If it were to come down to it he would be assassinated or destroyed in some way. No way the Powers that be are going to allow their agenda be rolled back unless that is the agenda. One step back two steps forward. Plan a , b or c and the US is likely still screwed. I hate to appear negative or overly cynical but just calling it how I see it. Interesting times.
JFK was a shot across the bow to let all know what the stakes are if one gets out of line. Now people have nothing to lose as this country hangs in the balance - whatever is coming is for all the marbles.
Ross Perot was RIGHT !
I think there is ample evidence of mexico breaking the treaty...so this should be a no brainer.
I guess it doesn’t mean anything to you folks NAFTA was an accomplishment of Ronald Reagans
http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/1993/11/em371-the-north-american-free-trade-agreement
Long-Standing Support for Free Trade with Mexico. Ronald Reagan first proposed a free trade agreement between the U.S. and Mexico in his 1980 presidential campaign. Since that time, The Heritage Foundation is proud of the role it has played in articulating President Reagan’s vision of free trade in Latin America and around the world. Since the mid-1980s, Heritage analysts have been stressing that a free trade agreement with Mexico not only will stimulate economic growth in the U.S., but will make Mexico a more stable and prosperous country. Heritage has published over three dozen studies stressing the benefits of free trade in North America.
Hopefully Trump couples his anti-NAFTA policy with busting up unions, because if he doesn’t American consumers will get DESTROYED by the cost of locally-produced products.
In other words, it’s easy to scream at China and South Korea for selling us 60 inch plasmas for $400 and support Trump when hits cuts off their exports to us...but then when American factories get to work, those same plasmas will cost around $2,000 unless some SERIOUS REFORMS are made in the areas of labor and regulations. Americans will not be happy when Canadians can still buy a plasma for $400, but we have to pay $2000 because ours are built by UAW types.
It does sound like Trump gets it on the regulation end (which is very good), but I’m really interested in what he thinks of the way organized labor has DESTROYED our manufacturing base. As I pointed out yesterday, the manufacturing base of the US Northeast and Midwest was GONE long before NAFTA existed. The unions, mainly, destroyed it.
Keep it up Trump!!!
NAFTA was another one of those deals the American people wanted no part of and yes it was/is a bad deal, there should be no problem breaking this and a whole host of other deals with the support of we the people.
Well some might say that would damage our credibility in the world, first we can’t be less credible than we are now, second we can craft a new deal, one that is in our countries best interest, lay it out insure those whom we are dealing with gets something and they can take it or leave it, if these world leaders are as smart as Trump says they are; they will take it.
We tried it...It didn’t work...In fact it was a disaster...Time to move on...
