I don’t know the percentages but most of these kids grew up in broken homes.
Would you want to get married if you knew it would end up in a divorce?
I know so many kids in my area who have step parents. It’s a shame.

They are having kids from what I see. Many of these women are on gov programs. Hell we have 100 million unemployed.
My husband is not part of the norm in that respect, and I’m blessed for it.
His parents were divorced when he was a child. His stepfather was a difficult man when he and his siblings were young...it was not pleasant. My husband’s father moved away, remarried, and for some reason decided he never wanted to see his biologicai children again.
Statistically, I guess my guy wasn’t a good bet for marriage, but he was firm that he intended to do it with the right person, and only once. He was adamantly against divorce...for him (and me), when you take those vows, it’s for life.
It’s been nineteen years, and he makes me very happy.

Yes, married women are more likely to have more than two kids, while the average birth rate is around 1.8 children per women now.
But many of these likely never married women have one or two kids, in their twenties, but never legally bind to the guy because it would cost them SNAP, WIC, Section 8 housing, EITC, childcare subsidies, etc.

A young man in his late 20’s who works at a local Lowes told me woman his age did not want a man with a job as it would take away their Gov bennies.
Heh, heh, Rush saw that one coming. He kept referring to the “intuit” people until somebody told him it’s Inuit.
I haven’t seen an Eskimo Pie in years, myself. Or maybe it now refers to a good looking Inuit chick.
Anyway, this is one of the more depressing threads about relationships & marriage. I don’t envy the younger set, that’s for sure. They seem to think they are the original young people & everyone older than them was born already middle aged. No sense of history or that others have trodden the same path. And that WWII started when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.
