A Chicago McDonalds employee who closed the register during the dinner rush to help a disabled customer is being praised by the fast food chain.

A photo of the act of kindness is at the link.
Nice young man.
I can’t imagine why this gentleman would go to a McDonald’s if his food need cutting-—or he could order something easier to eat.
.
That explains it..
Maybe the poor guy wanted a change of scenery and a hamburger FGS!
I applaud the gentleman for helping for helping him.
I have Cerebral Palsy, and you do have gestures of kindness from time to time. Once at a McDonalds, an employee carried my tray to a table for me. I also remember a KFC employee who carried my food to my car. Kind moments do happen, and it is nice to see.
“Maybe the poor guy wanted a change of scenery and a hamburger FGS!”

I assume there are other places in Chicago that sell hamburgers-—and have full service.
.
Perhaps that was the only place he could get to .
Does “full service” include the waiter cutting up your food for you?
“Does full service include the waiter cutting up your food for you?”
Beats me,but if the tip was big enough maybe it would.
When I had an injury that prevented me from cutting food I ate mac and cheese, other pasta dishes, meat loaf, mashed potatoes and other foods that didn’t require cutting.
Common sense.
.
“...Kind moments do happen, and it is nice to see.”
Amen to that and blessings to you.
God provides us with opportunities to serve. Matthew 25: ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
and that are made out of real meat and tastes like a hamburger is supposed to.
We have a disabled USMC veteran in our family. He lost his arm (and leg, for that matter) in Iraq at Falljah on 11/8/2008. He cannot cut up his food. Ever. He gets tired of eating only food that doesn’t require cutting. Have a little compassion, please.
I have compassion.
I was only referring to people that go out to a fast food restaurant ALONE.
.
There but for the Grace of G_D go you and I. Thank you brother for your service to our Nation.
“I assume there are other places in Chicago that sell hamburgers-and have full service.”
Sure, but I think we are overlooking the fact that elderly men seem to universally love McDonalds!!!!
Our relative is also ALONE. He lives ALONE. Most of the time he is out, he is ALONE. He does go to fast food restaurants ALONE. It is possible to eat some foods by picking them up with a fork and taking bites off, but some people would be offended by this, as it is not the most delicate of table manners. And unlikely that the forks at a fast food place are strong enough for this approach.
The point of this entire thread is a young man cutting food for a handicapped man——at a McDonalds.
An employee of McDonalds is not required to cut food and it would would be an extremely rare occurrence.
It would be advisable, then, when going to McDonalds not to order something that requires cutting.
Seems simple to me.
.
.
Ah so simple, he should never have something he craves...........because it’s too hard, how compassionate you are, how fortunate you must be to not be handicapped, to not need assistance from anyone. Careful you don’t reap what you sow, it’s so simple.
While that’s nice and all, it should be common decency to do that. It was once upon a time. Not so much in this MEEEEEE! culture.
