Survivor: Cambodia Second Chance is the 31st season of Survivor (for those unfamiliar with the show, there are two seasons each year). It begins Wednesday, September 23, 2015 on CBS at 8/7c.
I'm sorry for the late ping. I've been waiting - in vain - for CBS to finish updating the Survivor page. According to my DVR setting, the season premier is going to be a 90 minute episode.
The producers selected 32 previous cast members - 16 women and 16 men. The selection criteria were that (1) they have played before only once, and (2) have never won. From this list, fans voted for their 10 favorite women and 10 favorite men. The finalists were announced on the Survivor finale on Wedneday, May 20, 2015.
Survivor exclusive: Immunity idols to be hidden at challenges this season
The players range in age from 22 to 55. Seven are from California, with four from Southern California. Two each are from New York and North Carolina. One each are from Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Oregon, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, Texas, and Washington (state).

Cast bios - unfortunately, this has not yet been updated for the new season. :(

Note: Although some videos will continue to be free, CBS will be requiring people to sign up for their CBS All Access subscription system in order to view other videos (one month free trial offer, $5.99 per month thereafter - sorry, not for me!). You'll know if the particular video is free or not when you click on it.

Why don’t they have Survivor Siberia or Antarctica or North Slope...? Because nobody could run around naked and their ratings would drop 90%. I would love to see them living in polar bear country.
Fake crap, people are just stupid.
It’s entertainment! :)
How about Survivor:South Bronx or Survivor:Compton?
Even better. Maybe Ninth Ward?
Producer Mark Burnett has said he’d never do a Survivor where it was cold. You’re right about there not being eye candy for the viewers if the contestants are in parkas. He’s a bit of a hypocrite since he and his Christian wife Roma Downey produce the recent biblical shows such as The Bible and Answered Prayers. She became popular way back on Touched by an Angel.
Sure, reality tv is just as fake as any tv show (or news program) but it’s fun to snicker at the stupid contestants.
“Survivor Weekend in Chicago”
No doubt worried about shrinkage...
Where’s Pol Pot when you need him? He could do the world a great favor.
The cast biographies for the new season have now been posted. Unfortunately, at the moment, they contain very little substance. Perhaps CBS will expand on them, but I'm not holding my breath.
If you want added to or removed from this ping list, please let me know.
I’m here for the long run.
Thanks for starting the thread.
This season is all up in the air with all the second chance people.
All depends on who forms up the first team alliances.
Core four plus two runs each team is my bet. We’ll see how it’s dealt in the first episode.
Now to see if the out two realize they didn’t make the cut and swing to the four really outs.
I was disappointed that over the Summer Ew.com started charging. Dalton Ross had much with returning contestants. Are you a subscriber?
Do you believe all the contestants were the ones with the most votes? There have been doubts because we have equal number of men and women, enough minorities , some are clearly heroes or villains. Survivor is considered a reality show not a game show. So the game show rules — standards and practices — do not apply.
But I doubt they would release the voting results.
I’m not a subscriber to EW.com.
I'd like to think so, but I didn't like the outcome. Only 11 of my 20 picks made it. I deliberately voted for candidates in the earlier seasons. A lot of people didn't.

Men and women were voted upon separately. I'm still disappointed with the voting outcome.
I am sorry, do you link all these CBS Videos? Includes first 9 minutes of Wednesday & interviews with all up for second chance. https://www.youtube.com/user/SurvivorOnCBS/videos
Thanks for finding those. :)
