To be fair, I don’t think the “boxes” represented on the check are taught as a number representation system. ( I think they are “in out” boxes used in a standard exercise. ) So, not to impeach the cogency of the protest, it is kind of free wheeling.

Google 9+6= common core. It will take you page where they have a you tube video explaining in about 2 minutes how to get the correct answer. It is the most round about garbage I’ve seen in a long time. Totally dumbing down our young kids.
