A one-minute excerpt from MSNBC, where Trump calls in and makes his "third-rate" comment. Skip past the first 30 seconds to hear Trump speak.
My "guy" is the United States and conservatism. This socialist is only temporary.
So you would defend Obama, Hillary, or Biden, the same way?
“Isn’t this Hewitt guy set for next debate moderator?”
The GOP-e makes these decisions and they will want more pinhead mods like Megyn Kelly with their `gotcha’ questions.
Trump should make it clear that he reserves the right to ignore questions that he believes are intended solely to embarrass him.
The MSM has been given one marching order regarding a non-Uniparty candidate like Donald Trump: “Destroy him.”
e.g. “Mr. Trump, do you mean to say that you cannot name the average monthly rainfall amount in the Amazon river basin in the year 1958? (Hewitt’s jaw actually hits table ... recovering): “This ignorance on your part demonstrates appalling disregard for the Earth and is absolutely astonishing, you swine why I oughta ... “.
Thanks for providing the text of the conversation. Here is THE GOTCHA QUESTION:
“Do you know the players without a scorecard, yet, Donald Trump?”
Hugh Hewitt continues to deny it IS a gotcha question, when it is obvious to anyone that it IS.
Especially since in many of the cases, THE PLAYERS are only known to current government/military staff who are privy to TOP SECRET and CONFIDENTIAL INFO.
Trump saying that AFTER he was sworn in, had appointed new (better) statf, and had been properly briefed, then he would be IN THE KNOW.
That is just common sense. Which few seem to have these days.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/13/world/middleeast/us-says-iranian-military-figures-visit-to-russia-violates-un-ban.html. Was recently in the news.
Since when has any one of them said anything that was logical, or truthful ?
IF TRUE, then HH would have admitted it was a gotcha question. He denied it.
Exactly. So why is it okay if Trump is like them?
HH should no longer be on the air.
Dont buy products advertised on his program.
P.S. I might also point out that even though it WAS a gotcha question, Trump DID ANSWER IT.
Everyone is saying he wouldn’t answer, but he did. It’s right there in the source article. Clear as day.
These are the questions Trump will be asked in Presidential debates in front of a national audience. They are perfectly legitimate. They are things I want any President to know cold. If Trump doen’t know stuff like this he’s not ready for prime time.
HH has been an ardent conservative for as long as I remember. He would fit in perfectly on FR. Trump hasn’t been.
Liberal reporters, unlike HH, are going to line up to ask Trump these questions, and relish in his post interview insults. For them, it will be a badge of honor. For the rest of us it will be a massive embarrassment.
Bingo.
RE: HH should no longer be on the air.

Can you tell us why?
yep
The reason (backed up in many articles and polls) that Trump is leading the pack is because he is NOT LIKE THEM.
Why is it OKAY if you are like them ?
Isnt this Hewitt guy set for next debate moderator?
Yes he is. And you can bet the rent his entire career will be on the line, not Trump’s candidacy.
And after this BS gotcha question, Hugh Blewitt knows it.
Don’t feed the GOPevil troll.
This is a planned GOPe attack on Trump, to weaken him after he signed the GOPevil pledge so he will have to put on a phony front and support the same guys who are trying to crucify him here.
Hewitt asked these questions because of Trump’s huge appeal with veterans; Trump should keep the discussion on our vets, not healthy to focus on those who are against our military.
First day to meet the briefers and get the brief and to issue assignments for next day’s session. Day two to learn what he asked about the previous day.
