Donald Trump is taking a lot of heat from people who would like to see him support the dear lady, Kim Davis, in Kentucky. Those same people, if they think about it are asking him to commit political suicide. Trump is right, for now. Sorry. Everyone, and I include myself, is disappointed, but not surprised that 4 liberal justices and one who has always been sympathetic to the 'queer class' decided that homosexuals are a minority and deserve the protection of law and equal rights. They have also ruled that the crucial parts of the 'Defense of Marriage Act' are unconstitutional. Deal with it like adults fellas. The lady in Kentucky has every right to 'civil disobedience', if that's what it is. Others say that she is the only one actually obeying the law. In other words there is no Kentucky Statute authorizing her to give a license to a homosexual couple. She may be right on that, but it will be a long slog through the courts to prove it, by which time the election will be decided. Civil disobedience on a massive scale however would not reverse the legal process. The only way that marriage will ever be legally defined as 'between a man and a woman' in the country again would be through an amendment to the constitution, which is not going to happen when you consider the demographics, the support for and promotion of LGBT in the media and educational system, and the Federal bureaucracy. Or, perhaps, a few states could try seceding again. Donald is smart. He wants to get elected. We can't be dumb enough to ask him to die for what is, unfortunately, a lost cause. The problem here is that absolute moral judgements, not backed by the authority of divinity are just strong opinions. And, in the court of public opinion and in the court of law the opinion that gays should be denied marriage benefits has lost; and we no longer have a majority of people in this country who are committed to the absolute authority of the God revealed in the Bible. If you want to turn this country around in a moral sense... get off of Trump and get on your knees. In the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley is a Bible that he treasured and got from his mother. In it's glass case the book is opened and verses are underlined... they read... "...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chron 7:14
It makes me wonder if there's something in there he doesn't want us to see. I'm not 100% comfortable with the support Cruz has expressed for increased H1B Visas, the subsequent support from some West Coast tech moguls, Cruz's brilliance giving us the mess where Obama can get what he wants on deals, and any funds that might flow to his family through his wife's Goldman-Sachs connections. At first I wasn't all that concerned, but not having those disclosures done has gone on way too long,
Trump grabbed onto a neglected issue and stumped powerfully for it. His style and his instinct in this case were powerful pluses for him.
It has now all been needlessly risked and may go down the tubes like his Taj Mahal did. He’s tone deaf to another fervent element in the country.
When did Cruz tell us to bow down to globalist masters?
I’m sure all YOUR taxes are separated from all the evil people’s and used only for truth, goodness, and light. lol
I have a hard time believing that abject idiots become billionaires. They do, however, get elected as president.
ok brother. His will be done. God certainly has planned a big role for trump, and it won’t be stopped until God is done with it.
The main attack against Trump is that he's a closet liberal. Issues like this are about the liberal-conservative divide, to be sure, but are a distraction from jobs, the economy, immigration, and Iran. Taking a public opinion on this will just fuel the fire. Even not taking a position will become a subject in the upcoming CNN debate anyway, so why not just wait until then to discuss it?
Trump has a rally next week with Ted Cruz and Glen Beck to highlight the Iran deal. Trump wants the campaign messaging to be about that, not gay marriage or religious persecution. It's unfortunate for Mrs. Davis that this is happening to her now, but that is not a demand on Trump to take a side on it now.

Because conservatives are long on talk and short on action? Unless, of course, it’s standing in line for a chicken sandwich.
Wow, you just enlightened me to exactly who Trump reminds me of... Henry VIII
Yep, you got it! Thanks!
At least he isn’t Trump
wrong.
The border and immigration was a big issue before Trump ever announced or said a word about it.
Trump has always been behind the curve
Would we expect Trump or anyone else to support a muslim taxi driver who refuses to pick up a blind veteran with a seeing-eye dog?
Just asking, folks... this goes both ways here.
This is more than social issue, it is faith issue.
Now I am not stupid. Faith will flourish whether or not it gets conked on the head like this, in fact sometimes it seems to rise up in the very face of the punishment that is intended to destroy it.
But still it’s important.
he wants to get socialist healthcare, a massive tax hike, micromanagement of business and a wall around New Mexico done before he has an opinion on other things
lol
Yep...Trump would seem to be our only hope......but more pie in the sky, bye.n.bye???...why is he NOT DEMANDING impeachment(s)/elections/etc. NOW!
That is, RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!
Think we have time to screw around? NOT likely, Pilgrim!

You are wrong that it had any kind of champion that garnered the actual significant public support, until Trump.
What drew me most to Trump was his pugnaciousness towards PC, on a variety of issues. But he’s never been one to talk much about social issues, so I can’t say I’m surprised he wimped out on Kim Davis, and sided with the tyrants and the perverts. Really undercut what he had built up with me. But I can’t say I’m all that surprised. When the rubber hit the road, I was sort of expecting this.
I’ll probably still be rooting for Trump as something of a “wrecking ball” against the worthless cretins of the GOP-E. But ultimately support him? Eh.
There is no way to know but I don’t pay much so...
