Yes. CCTV is China Central TV but it could be called Chinese Communist TV as it is run by them.
CCTV-4 is their English language propaganda channel.
US cable companies carry this stuff.
I bought some black finish hand tools from HF for use as part of generic clips I send to stock agencies.
There isn’t glare and the names are easy to obscure. I do the real work with my vintage 70s and 80s craftsman tools offscreen.
There was a special on CNBC on Tilapia and it wa nasty. It isn’t just nasty in China it is all over Asia. In one of the countries they fed them dead bodies then export the fish to the USA. They also useit as filler in fish sticks and fishand chips!
I have a Uni-Trend two channel scope that seems quite capable and works just fine.
” He told me he will NEVER eat tilapia (fish) because it is raised in water with feces, and he has seen it himself.
“
I get my Tilapia from the Chinese grocery, vegetables too. They have big tanks of live Tilapia. You choose the one you want and they clean and scale it for your. So fresh! Up here in Cleveland, the fish come from a farm in Erie Pa. All grown under US regulations. Delicious mild fish! I steam mine.
Vegetables are great, and very fresh. One storeowner said he gets almost all his veggies from Puerto Rico.
There are many Chinese firms who do make quality electronic equipment, however from my experience these are facilities run by Americans or Europeans in the executive suites. Stuff made by chines from to bottom is usually of marginal quality and barely meets the specification with zero headroom.
The stuff at Harbor Freight is junk or has value as a single use item (drills, mills, taps, etc) which will make only a few passes. I did buy a double flare kit from them, for dirt cheap and it has been excellent. I have made over 30 double flares on one die when I expected it to make the six flares I needed and be dead.
My experiences with Chinese suppliers has been considerable, and I simply hate doing business with them because of the time and money I have to spend policing the materials for contract compliance. It makes the agreed to price not so attractive.
CCTV is one of the few English channels we are able to pick up with our antenna. Interesting station which covers events concerning their stock market quotes and other economic issues. Don’t know about the truth of such information but it is another perspective - perhaps to be taken with a grain of salt.
Nick, most of trump supporters know that he’s not the perfect
candidate, nobody is. However, i’ll take half a loaf than no loaf at all any day in the week.
You have that right. I like the Chinese people and a lot of their culture, I have to say that. But I've consulted with Chinese businesses for years, trying to get them to meet standards. I found that it cannot be done. An honest business cannot succeed when its competitors cut corners. So they all do just as you said, game the contract.
If you put in the overhead of many inspectors, inspectors of the inspectors, quality control at all levels, inventory and shipping security.... Government payoffs at all levels, not to mention trying to manage when the time shift has either the U.S. managers or the Chinese managers having telephone meetings at 12AM... I can't see why we even try to manufacture there, it is not economical. Just too much overhead trying to get the work force and managers to do what the average American learns in Sunday school, what are called Western values. Or used to, and probably will be that way in the near future. But I agree with everything you said.
