Sarah Palin defends Donald Trump, open to being his running mate

Former Alaska Governor and 2008 GOP Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin is again defending Republican 2016 frontrunner Donald Trump. Palin was promoting her guest hosting of "On Point with Sarah Palin" airing on the One to One America News Network on the entertainment news show "Extra" on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 where she spoke with Renee Bargh about all the Trump bashing. Palin also talked about Vice Presidential choices and attacked Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton over her continued political scandals and President Barack Obama's failed policies. Palin and Trump have long become friends and their political love affair seems a mutual admiration society.

Palin defended the daily attacks from the left and right geared towards the Republican frontrunner who has been soaring in the polls leaving the rest of the GOP field in the dust behind him. Palin told Extra about Trump, "Man he is just getting crucified out there just for telling the truth… he's doing a good job of that and he's shaking it up the way it should be, and he's leading other candidates and having to talk about the issues that average Joe Six-Pack American wants to hear and wants to talk about."

Again the subject of Palin joining Trump on the GOP ticket as his Vice Presidential running mate popped up. Palin remaining ever so modest left the option open, commenting instead, "Well, there are so many good potential female running mates out there, and male running mates."

I will just say I have been supporting Trump from the get-go, and I support Trump now. Strongly so.

However I am for Palin first of all. If she runs, I’ll vote for her. So I think Trump is very wise to keep her happy. They make a good team. Cruz as well.

As much as I like Sarah, I just can’t see her being on the ticket. Trump is getting enough flack as it is, and the media would go full throttle. I prefer Cruz and Sarah for a position where she can actually do some good. Hmmm, on that note, maybe Cruz should be AG instead. The VP doesn’t do much.

With Cruz as a running mate for Trump, the Democrats would be forced to address his eligibility while he is VP. This would get that matter settled before he runs again.
