It is hardly likely to be the oldest sculpture in the world. It is the oldest known sculpture, the oldest yet found. Just like "the oldest town in the world" or "the oldest metal artifact in the world. That is all BS. Events did not begin in a flash the day each of these things was found to have been constructed. Things do not come into existence just when archaeologists find them.
