Americans Are "Fired Up" About First Commercially Available Flamethrowers

In the wake of two companies now selling the first commercially available flamethrowers in the United States, at least one mayor has called for increased restrictions on their use. And to no one's surprise, the prospect of prohibition has now driven more sales.

"Business is skyrocketing higher than ever due to the discussion on prohibition," Chris Byars, the CEO of the Ion Productions Team based in Troy, Michigan, told Ars by e-mail.

Nah. I lack the folding green stuff. For some reason my spouse seems to think paying the mortgage is higher priority then my having a cool new weapon.

Until I come up with a better argument or we finish paying off the house I will have to stick with the "Hairspray plus Bic" substitute.

The substitute is more dangerous than the real thing. Tried that once and gave it up real quick. LOL...

Most DIY weapons are more dangerous to operator then the ones made by professionals.

Fire going into a pressurize can is a Bad Thing. :)
