All it took was hearing the opening strains of Christopher Cross profound, Sailing online at SiriusXMs new Yacht Rock channel online before bookmarking it on the computer. It was already locked in on the car radio. The station programming two-week trial began Aug, 21 at 5:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM Channel 31. The good news is that it is a featured channel all the way through Labor Day weekend. The bad news is that, currently, thats when it ends, too.
If you love the music of Christopher Cross, Toto, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Player, and more, this is the only SiriusXM channel youll be playing for the next two weeks...

I’ve been desperate to find “Backstage Pass” the live album they did with a full orchestra.
The guitar solo on “It’s A Long Way There” was fantastic.

What do you mean? Christopher Cross was the epitome of Yacht Rock and of Yacht high fashion! Back in the day, he must have driven the ladies wild.
Much better than Gaucho, IMHO. Walk Between Raindrops is the coolest song ever, you just can imagine yourself in 1950s-era Miami Beach just hearing it.
There is nothing like the sound of nothing but the sails in the breeze. Dockside is another matter.
We have a 40 ft Yorktown.
I was about to ping you!
Great link \\ the for posting ETL
“4,TAKE IT EASY ON ME” is definitely not the original familiar version.

Thanks, Sam! Just got a trial account and this is the best station. We were a lucky generation as far as music went. From yacht rock, hard rock, jazz, R&B... good stuff across the board. Then in the ‘80’s Country went full bore with George Strait, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks.
A few years back my sons’ even said my generation had the best music.
Thx! lol

I agree. I grew up with everybody saying the 1960s were the best time for music. I disagree. The mid 1970s to 1980s was the sweet spot for me. I was into all the genres, from country to jazz/rock to new wave.
Playing a lot of Gerry Rafferty today. Gerry Rafferty is perfect Yacht Rock.
I found and sent you this a couple days ago.

Thanks. I was actually trying to find it in vinyl at the Half-Price Books here.
Stupid me, dumped all my albums after I graduated from college.
So you already had it on CD or mp3?
