All it took was hearing the opening strains of Christopher Cross profound, Sailing online at SiriusXMs new Yacht Rock channel online before bookmarking it on the computer. It was already locked in on the car radio. The station programming two-week trial began Aug, 21 at 5:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM Channel 31. The good news is that it is a featured channel all the way through Labor Day weekend. The bad news is that, currently, thats when it ends, too.
If you love the music of Christopher Cross, Toto, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Player, and more, this is the only SiriusXM channel youll be playing for the next two weeks...

Yes, I like that a lot too. I have a greatest hits CD of theirs. Other good ones on there are "Lady", "(Hold On) Help Is On The Way", and "(Have You Heard About) The Lonesome Loser".
The real “Yacht Rock.”
Adult language warning.

This was the best. Episodes 1-4 are good too, the later ones not so much.
Yawn..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......and I have a 21 foot yacht.
“Ahoy polloi... where did you come from, a scotch ad?”
Great one! Haven’t heard it in a while. Am downloading the original version now off YouTube.

I’m still on nonspeaking terms with SiriusXM since they dropped Pops channel 75 from the lineup—just so they could add some more Britney Spears channels.
I have nothing negative to say about Weird Al.
southern Cross, CNnN, channel sounds great. I do CH 34, Lithium 90s grunge.
Not by any means a yacht song, but a good one from the same general time period as Cool Change.
Wild Fire - Michael Martin Murphey:

This song is the one that reminds me of the 1980 Republican National Convention. I was there, and it was being played all over Detroit.
My favorite song from the 1980's is this one, from 1985.
However, the song doesn't quite fit the format of "Yacht Rock" which has a laid-back, almost nautical soft-rock vibe.

Seriously. I have no idea what you said.
“Heres one of my favorite yacht songs.”
-—One of my fav’s too. Here’s a live version with John Farnham https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JPLJk-UOHc
We live on our 36ft Ta Shing Tashiba. When we go sailing, we listen to nothing but the wind.
We have found that the world is much more interesting without other sounds covering things up.
Just the sound of the waves and wind.
Crosby Stills n Nash... Southern Cross. Great sailing track. Sorry was on idiot tablet.
I’m sorry but there’s no universe in which Christopher Cross is any form of “rock.”

I'm thinking "Key Largo" might be playing over the speakers.
