If Im going through a particularly troubled time, Ill use grapefruit. If Im mired in depression, lavender is kind of the panacea for everything, she said. Ive been obsessed with lime lately, and Ill put lime in hot, hot water and on a face cloth and put it on my face and just sit there and breathe. Ill make a lot of blends that Ill just pop in my purse.

I wish I had space and time for meditation and Bible study and work on my music. I’m guessing Ms. Morissette doesn’t have nine children at home.

At a previous place of employment, people thought it was funny that I would drop whatever I was doing to turn off the radio if one of her songs came on.

That’s what I do in my usual morning sitdown.
Hmmm. Isn’t it Ironic.
My morning sitdown is displaced by washing the dishes left by the Overnight People, those teenagers who are up and producing dirty dishes after I’ve gone to bed.
You oughta know.
Looks like a brain-scrambling clutter, rather than soothing and peaceful.
