The greatest cat I ever owned passed on today just a few weeks shy of her 19th birthday. She was the oldest kitty I ever had but I'm afraid that's gonna make it harder to adjust to a world without her.
I could tell endless stories about her (as she could about me!).
Just wanted to post this to the Freeper community 'cause I get so much comfort here talking with like minded souls and could sure use an extra dose today.
Thank you so much :(
I totally sympathized, Catmom.
We were owned by a kitty for 19 years. It was truly a loss of a family member.
I know the feeling. Lost 2 of mine within a week of each other 2 years ago. Had them 15 years.
So very sorry to hear!! My wife and I have an old kitty that’s getting up there. We keep seeing things that suggest his time is coming soon, and it just breaks our hearts thinking about it. You are in our thoughts and prayers!
Sincerest condolences from one cat lover to another. We lost our beloved Gary last year. I know how difficult losing a much loved pet can be.
We lost our Cleo this year, just over 20. Rescued her from a business parking lot where her mother and all her litter mates were killed by cars. She had a broken rear leg that healed funny before we could catch her. She was a little Tuxedo cat. Sorry for your loss.
awwww...so sad. We do love our babies, don’t we? I just had to put my 15 yr old to sleep. I waited an entire 2 weeks and went to orange county animal control and SAVED THE LIFE of an 8 week old orange menace to society :)
You can’t replace them but it sure does make the pain subside when you have a new baby that entertains you and forces you to fall in love like that! (snapping fingers)
Go get another one and save its life. I’ll pray for you :)
I am so sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your furry loss. They are so hard to get over.
So very sorry. Wait a little while and bring another needy, furry bundle of joy into your life.
Tabitha, what a wonderful name for a cat. Sort of reminds me of Bewitched, which is what I think all cats are. I understand what you are going through as I lost my Maggie this year. She was 17 1/2 years. I like to think my Maggie lived so long is because in her cat life she had everything a cat could want, food, warmth, a big yard to chase whatever, and unconditional love from us.
Hugs to you. Hard loss, I know.
I have a nine year old male named Louie and a three year old female named Snooki (Jersey names!).
They’re the king and queen, now.
Sorry for your loss, too. Great story of her rescue. what an amazing age for a cat.
I tried my best always to be the best mommy she could have.
19 years is an amazing run - there was definitely a symbiosis going on there ;’)
Truly, I mourn for you.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
((Hugs))
I am SO SO sorry. ; (
From a dog lover to a cat lover,
So sorry for your loss. You guys get to enjoy your cats for so much longer, it’s a blessing.
I’ve lost a very adored and loved fur friend in the past year and I still think about her every day, it was hard at first, but now when I think about her, she makes me smile..
I was always convinced she could read my mind!
