Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura suggested Tuesday that he’d be glad to be Donald Trump’s running mate.

“Do you think Donald would ever think of asking me?” Ventura said during an interview on his “Off the Grid” show with former Trump adviser Roger Stone .

Ventura said he’d support Trump for the GOP presidential nomination.

“I shocked my staff today,” Ventura said. “I came in and said, ‘You know what, as far as the Republicans are concerned, I hope Trump wins.’”

I don’t think Trump would consider him. He doesn’t bring anything to the table at this point. The negatives would outweigh the positives.

well...I voted for Mitt Romney, John McCain, and Bob Dole so there’s no telling just who I’m capable of voting for.

To the Trump supporters out there: Would you continue to support Trump if he named Ventura as VP? I would probably vote for Trump if he were the Republican nominee but not if he had Ventura on the ticket.

How about this?

I wouldn’t vote for Trump even if he had TED CRUZ on the ticket.

************

Jesse would be glad of anything that would get him a little publicity.

Your statement noted and the same answer from here. Cruz is the man and it is firmly believed that The Donald knows it as well. Imagine the two on the ticket. Hope and Change from another direction. Our Lord does work in mysterious ways but it is guessed this is not the first time he works through persons which cause we mere mortals to just scratch our heads. Time marches on.

Ventura is too looney for Donald. I think Donald prefer someone very professional with a toughness, and the one I’m thinking is Ted Cruz.

... And an IQ higher than a slug.

I know...

It’s scary.

It’s becoming a cult of personality.

I don’t think Trump is much of a Republican or much of a conservative.

Today I saw an article that he really doesn’t want to stop federal funding for Planned Parenthood after all.

He’s all over the map on every issue conceivable.

Agreed. I’m personally hoping for Cruz/Trump. Will not vote for any ticket that has that piece of feces Ventura on it, even if the top of the ticket was Cruz.

I don’t know. Cruz might be more valuable elsewhere. I mean, when’s the last time a vice-president made a good president? Not Ford, not read-my-lips Bush. Truman? LBJ? If you go back a hundred years, maybe Calvin Coolidge.

The VP office has been likened euphemistically to a pitcher of warm spit, which it remains today.

Roger Stone, slumming with Ventura, making sure he doesn't miss one second of his 15 minutes.

That entire 20+ minute interview with Stone and Ventura is here.
