Kelly said, You may have heard that there was a dust-up involving yours truly, and presidential contender Donald Trump. Mr. Trump was upset with a question I asked him at the debate last week about his electability, and specifically comments he has made in the past about women, a few words on that. Apparently, Mr. Trump thought the question I asked was unfair, and felt I was attacking him. I felt he was asked a tough, but fair, question. We agreed to disagree. Mr. Trump did interviews over the weekend that attacked me personally, Ive decided not to respond. Mr. Trump is an interesting man, who has captured the attention of the electorate, thats why hes leading in the polls. Trump, who is the frontrunner, will not apologize, and I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism. So, Ill continue doing my job, without fear or favor, and Mr. Trump, I expect, will continue with what has been a successful campaign thusfar. This is a tough business, and its time now to move forward. And now lets get back to the news
Kelly hasn’t yet even mentioned the Fox News Viewer base,,she still thinks it’s about her.
More like Trump’s Cry Wolf moment - if he can’t handle Megyn he won’t be able to handle world leaders, the Dems.
He’s pathetic.
If this had been anyone in the rest of the media conservative pundits would be saying what a BS PC gotcha question this was.
I hope her show goes down the toilet where it belongs.
A moderator should ask the same question of all of the participants in a debate, and not selectively ambush specific participants. What Megyn Kelly did was insert herself into the debate, and she performed a targeted hit job on Donald Trump. And I am a Ted Cruz supporter.
It wasn’t a question germane to the venue. It was a attempted take-down. It was an obvious play of the Me-Gyna card.
It is television and so it has evolved or devolved into this kind of mess. FOX had prime opportunity to set a new debate tone since we have witnessed the television fiascos of the past, especially the last election cycle. So, what people have desired and seemingly were promised did not come to pass. FOX blew it badly, with Megyn and crew totally blowing it. We, as viewers and concerned voters were treated, in turn, exactly like we have been since Boehner and McConnell were reelected. We have been ignored and we do not like it. Of course, Fox and Co will not admit wrong and will be as brazen and brash as the other networks.
Me, me, me, me me. Me, me, me, me, me. Me, me, me, me, me. Me, me, ...
That, however, can be taken two ways. The first is in the literal sense. She feels she is right, and Trump feels he is right. They agree to disagree.
The second way to take it is "I messed up, and I don't want to talk about it anymore." That's the way Kelly SHOULD feel. But self-centered egotist that she is is, I doubt that she feels that way.
Disclaimer: Kelly is a self-centered egotist. But that does not mean that Trump is not.
I cheered Newt when he laid out John King and CNN at the South Carolina debate when King opened with an ugly question about Newt’s personal life.
But, King and CNN could at least argue that ABC had broke the story earlier that day. It was ugly, but hot in the msm.
In the case of the recent Fox ‘debate’, there was no such thing. It was dumpster diving to grab viewers and keep them there for 2 hours.
The Fox upper management is letting her hang herself. She is following the path of Katie Couric. A year from now she will be gone.
Well, here’s another way to look at this... Kelly actually served up a softball question with the treatment of women thing and had Trump been ready for it, it would have been an easy round tripper. Similarly, he wasn’t at all prepared for the ‘four bankruptcies’ question and that too should have been a softball waiting to be blasted. She tried to do the same with Cruz and her stupid question about whether “he had received a message from God”.... whether Cruz anticipated the specific question or not, he nailed it and delivered it to the upper deck with ease.
Right so pathetic in fact that his poll numbers jumped 20%.
Totally agree just like Katie Couric made the news abut herself and wiped out. I honestly think the Fox management has set her up to fail giving her all the discretion she wants to do what she wants on her way to abysmal ratings.
I think Trump supporters are only about polling at 24% and most of them went into the debate hating Fox so I don't see what the effect will be.
Megyn re-started the War on Women The Head of the DNC on after the debate—what was that all about—a victory dance? The nine year old dust up between Rosie O’Donald and Trump was a stupid topic—Better hard hitting questions. Look, If Trump is the clown you expect—he will fold up like a wall-Mart lawn Chair when asked real questions. “When did you become a Republican?” Putin will not ask him that—or what he thinks of Rosie O’Donald. Meygn, you may have put Hillary (or Warren) in the White House with your re-boot of the War on Women.
Correct. Then the viewers would have had a excellent basis for comparing the candidates responses to the same issue. Imagine that, useful to the viewers
Everything about Fox's hosting the debate was bush league at best and an embarrassment.
If they wanted to do a hit piece on Trump, they should have put together their 'evidence' and presented it as a news item during a news program.
Me-gone is a legend in her own mind--- well maybe in Rupert Mud_ox's too.
A professional would apologize for being in the wrong. Kelly is doubling-down on arrogance and egotism.
