Is the public fascination with Caitlyn Jenner wearing off?
Ratings for E!s groundbreaking reality series I Am Cait plummeted for the shows second episode.
Sundays hour had only 1.3 million viewers, a drop of more than 50% from the shows premiere.
I Am Cait premiered somewhat modestly too, especially considering the usual Kardashian clan drawing power on E! and the amount of media buzz surrounding Jenner in recent months. The series debut had 2.7 million viewers, then grew to 3.9 million with DVR playback. While time-shifted viewing is important, a big change in same-night viewership like what happened on Sunday still tends to give a strong signal of whether interest in a show is rising or falling.
Next to 'Bachelor Party" it was Tom Hanks' finest work.
*Ahem*
To quote Nelson Muntz of ‘The Simpsons:
“HA! HA!”
You’re welcome!
I saw that comedy central redid the opening credits of “Simon and Simon”, but I didn’t know they did whole “episodes”. Haha.
Given his speech at the ESPY show, about how he's giving respect and recognition, and whatever else he said, to transgender people, I am predicting he will not give dime one to any cause or charity or support group having to do with transgenders.
This whole Diane Sawyer, coming out, Vanity Fair cover and ESPY show and now the reality show is ONLY about promoting himself and making money.
This show will go down because the average person can’t relate and/or doesn’t want to relate to the subject matter. The trans/gay world is only a small percentage of society...1-5% at the most. This would be the audience most interested in this program, and this will not get the ratings needed.
There is a squirm factor to much of this....and the average viewer will not want to watch it beyond their initial curiosity period.
Who the hell watches this!!!!
He still has his.....you know...thingy!!!
If Jenner converts to Islam, will he be wearing a Burka when he goes out in public?
It is hard for me to witness someone’s mental illness.
There is all kinds of screwed up with this guy. He discusses Bruce in the third person, as if he is trying to disassociate himself from the man who killed that woman in the car accident.
I have a hard time believing that his show was watched by viewers because they care about his freak show journey. Rather, because they wanted to see the oddity for themselves and quickly lost interest when they realized he is nothing but a man in a dress creating a psychopath drama that he considers to be womanhood.
I refer to Bruce Jenner as Kanye West’s mother in-law.
“This whole Diane Sawyer, coming out, Vanity Fair cover and ESPY show and now the reality show is ONLY about promoting himself and making money.”
Agreed. Almost as if he was envious of the attention the females got on their reality show but, he never got as a man.
The hair, make up, dresses and fittings, feminine problems...
All kinds of dumbassery going on.
Lost half the audience eh? Just like he lost half his manhood.
I didn’t realize it had a show.
